High Performance Computing or HPC as it is popularly called, is one of the fastest growing domains in computing. It has many applications including 1. Drug/ pharmeceutical research 2. Genome Maping 3. Engineering Design 4. Weather applications. Out of all these I find weather applications have a very large potential. Weather predictions, particularly in India are in awful state. Good and powerful computing centers are primary building blocks for improving the state of this.
