1 Looking for Mordern Energy
2 Save existing energy
Nikhil Lele  |  Added idea  "Look for Innovative Energy"  |  2 months ago
Solar Energy, Wind Energy are not Modern energy sources by any means. They exist from a long time. It is just that people have not been creative enough to utilize these energy sources to the fullest. New innovative sources such as Bio-Diesel,...

There are many steps: 1)Optimum utilization of Solar & Wind Energy, 2)Many source of Hydraulic still not exploited to be done, 3)Use of Waste Heat i.e. utilizing tail gas of all furnaces, 4)Saving existing energy
Tanig  |  Supported idea  "Looking for Mordern Energy"  |  3 years ago
I agree that India has to go for solar and wind energy. As regards wind energy, though India is having a large coast line, I learnt that the wind speed in most of the coastlines are not haigh and will not be economical to put wind power on those...

1 Green IT
2 New materials and manufacturing technology for new materials
Abhijit Anand Prabhudan  |  Added idea  "Additive manufacturing"  |  1 year ago
Additive manufacturing also known as 3d printing will transform the economy. Large scale industrial facilities will become obsolete.
Amar Nath Mukherje  |  Added idea  |  1 year ago
If we are able to increase efficiency of the systems used, we will be able to reduce power demand from Power house and will get carbon credit and keep our earth green.
Hari Prasad K  |  Supported idea  "Green IT"  |  3 years ago
Green IT also helps organizations consolidate and helps reduce cost of operations and management.  Green IT is perhaps one of the most emerging and promising concepts in future.

Conserve everything energy , money , feelings and other resource because waste needs to be avoided so that there is less load on generation .Generation has a limited capacity

Right idea of switching off light when not in use. Also use the right wattage of light what is in use.Why to illuminate entire room enlighten the task area. by lower wattage but with proper illumination in the task area only.
T S POORNANANDAN  |  Supported idea  "Switch of the light when not in use"  |  2 years ago
This very good idea was propagated by me some 10 years before to the Airport Authority of Delhi and Mumbai. It pays off well immdly and there will be saving of power, stop pollution. I agree to the idea of switching off light when not in use,...

Recent years and months have seen increasing attention being paid to the issue of energy security. There are a number of concerns and fears such as     * Oil and other fossil fuel depletion (peak oil, etc)     * Reliance on foreign sources of energy     * Geopolitics (such as supporting dictatorships, rising terrorism, “stability” of nations that supply energy)     * Energy needs of poorer countries, and demands from advancing developing countries such as China and India     * Economic efficiency versus population growth debate     * Environmental issues, in particular climate change     * Renewables and other alternative energy sources Energy insecurity combined with other global issues ri...

Nuclear Energy source may be the basic source in future. But source from Solar cannot be ignored. If general public starts making an attempt for Solar generation for their domestic need , regular demand of power from grid will get reduced...
Cyril  |  Commented  |  2 years ago
Nuclear will be one of the options available. However wind and solar power can be planned for energy security. Unless the demand and exponential forecasting in the years is not planned then its not possible to be self reluctant in energy.

Right You are. There is no generation of CO2 in Nuclear Power Station.
Vineet Prakash  |  Argues in support of  "Yes"  |  2 years ago
In my opinion nuclear power is the only short-term way to provide enough energy without causing more climatic harm. Nuclear power is an acceptable way of making electricity without the carbon emissions that comes from burning coal and gas. We...
