no harm in learning new language. If u can reach to same level as u r in dot net then could be more sell-able . Ask this to your self and depends on ur capability. Are you going to stick to same company ? Is your growth in current organisation...

I do think there is better option of growth in Java than that of .Net. And Future of Java is also better. So, its better to learn Java. Of course, his experience in .net will help him a lot.

According to my view its better to stick to .Net and after having profile of 5 yr with .net means the person must be a developer analyst. after few more year of experience he must be a Software Analyst and here languages are no boundation.. you...
