Deloitte (US and UK) Dec-2006 to Dec-2009 Head of a CoE - Information Management and Analytics Amit worked with senior partners for setting up an analytics team at offshore center for Deloitte US. He was responsible for identifying work that could be performed at offshore, planning team structure and skills, bringing resource onboard and transitioning work from onshore to offshore. He conducted many road shows and workshop across the US to bring awareness about benefits realized using offshore team. Key Responsibilities: Planning, budgeting and Coordination with top leadership across US, UK and India to ensure healthy pipeline of work for the offshore staff Providing input in to RFPs (request for proposals) and bids Monitoring and ensuring adherence to the SLAs, focusing on metrics and opportunities for continues improvement in the quality, deliverables and budget management Managing, prioritizing, scoping and delivering Internal projects Chairing PCC, Steering and status meeting with the project sponsors, Risk and project teams Reviewing and providing sign off for specifications documents and deliverables, providing input through out the projects phases and ensuring process and methodologies were followed Mentoring and coaching people, identifying development and training needs of the staff, hiring and induction of the new members Key Projects: Implementation of liquidity reporting infrastructure and capabilities at tier 1 investment bank Review of RWA and validation of credit risk models (EAD, LGD and PD) at a tier investment bank PnL reconciliation and MIS strategy at top tier investment bank Review of payment applications for OFAC screening using SWIFT messages for world biggest bank Calculation of liability from a failed financial institution for UK Government Fidelity Business Services India Role: Group Leader Amit was part of the transition team responsible for setting up Defined Contribution Data Services team for Fidelity Investment in India. He was involved in hiring, training and later transitioning Defined Contribution data transformation and MIS work from US to India. As part of transition team: Created offshore onshore responsibility matrix and process flow for the steady state. He was involved in creating data transformation process and QA process for the offshore team. He was responsible for conducting data analysis for identifying fraud and supporting testing of various risk and fraud models.
