It is a nice initiative to consider Independent candidates, but I have a concern if our country can affford such changes at this stage. My view would be to identify a single largest party with a proven record. I don't think too much of splinters...

The Most Misunderstood word ‘ Jihad’ .. from http://smma59.wordpress.com/2009/04/03/the-most-misunderstood-word-jihad/ ISLAM MEANS PEACE. It is very unfortunate that we have reached a point where we need to clarify that jihad has nothing to do with terrorism.Being a muslim , I must say that the word “Jihad” has been misused and abused by the Dirty politicians. The more important meaning of jihad is the struggle to be good. I am muslim and I believe that jihad means struggle which should be used for the eradification for poverty, jihad should be against illiteracy and against corruption. In islam, killing one person is considered killing many generations. So its wrong that jihad means killin...

True Mr.Anand and Rohit, I agree with your comments on JIHAD. "Jihad means "holy war." But how that word is interpreted is a matter of some debate, probably because Muhammad himself used the term in different ways. Sometimes he used jihad to...

Constitution Allows 'I Vote Not to Vote' but we as a citizen have the right to vote for the right candidate. Did you know that there is a system in our constitution, as per the 1969 act, in section '49-O' that a person can go to the polling booth, confirm his identity, get his finger marked and convey the presiding election officer that he doesn't want to vote for anyone! Yes such a feature is available, but obviously these seemingly notorious leaders have never disclosed it. This is called '49-O'. Why should you go and say 'I VOTE NOBODY' because, in a ward, if a candidate wins, say by 123 votes, and that particular ward has received '49-O' votes more than 123, then that polling will be c...

What's a blog? A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit(stage). A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world. Your blog is whatever you want it to be. There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and there are no real rules. In simple terms, a blog is a web site, where you write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top, so your visitors can read what's new. Then they comment on it or link to it or email you. Or not. Since Blogger was launched in 1999, blogs have reshaped the web, impacted politics, shaken up journalism, and enabled millions of people to have a voice and conn...

How to write a cover letter from www.odesk.com by Justine July 23rd, 2008 at 5:08 pm The first impression you leave on a potential employer when looking for work online is not your resume or user profile, but rather your cover letter. Resumes and profiles are succinct listings of professional accomplishment, but don’t say much about an applicant’s personality, work ethic, interests and talents. Therefore, a cover letter is your place to shine. A cover letter should ALWAYS accompany a resume or link to an online profile. Lack of a cover letter leaves buyers with the impression that the applicant is lazy or that he or she isn’t really that interested in the position. On the opposite si...

Documentation Product Line Documentation as product can be produced in three standard formats: hardcopy, PDF (or Microsoft Reader), or online for viewing in HTML or another markup language with Flash components. The following describes each of the standard documentation product offerings: End User Guides What is an “end user”? Webpedia defines it as: “The final or ultimate user of a computer system. The end user is the individual who uses the product after it has been fully developed and marketed. The term is useful because it distinguishes two classes of users, users who require a bug -free and finished product (end users), and users who may use the same product for development purposes. ...

Single-Sourcing refers to creating the elements of the client’s documentation only once and in one application. Then, we store the source files centrally and publish that same information with minimal adjustments in multiple formats and uses. Single-sourcing documentation provides numerous benefits : 1- Better quality documents. By defining one set of deliverables that can be reused in a variety of media, we can focus on making this set of single sources the best they can be. 2- Reduced deployment time. Because we use only one set of source files to create the final deliverables, the client can reduce the amount of time to deploy their technology to the desktop. The client achieves this ...

From the International Atomic Energy Agency's web site Each year the world’s 441 nuclear power reactors create enough spent fuel to fill a football field. That’s about 10,500 tonnes of heavy metal. This waste is thermally hot and can stay radioactive for thousands of years. Because it is solid and does not readily dissolve in water, the fuel wastes are typically stored in water pools on site at the nuclear reactors for many years. But permanent disposal places are needed. Scientists warn that the ongoing storage of spent fuel is not sustainable for the long years needed for the waste to decay and lose its radioactivity. Right now only one permanent disposal facility exists in New Mexico whe...
