India cannot have  power  24/7 if it follows the old ways of generation, transmission  distribution. The need for the uninterrupted power can only be fulfilled, if the building creates its own power decreases its dependability on power suppliers. A...

ORNL research in building technologies is performed by the Building Technologies Research and Integration Center (BTRIC) and supports the DOE goals of achieving zero energy homes by 2020 and zero energy buildings of all kinds by 2025. Zero energy implies buildings that annually produce as much energy as they consume. The goals are achieved if components and integration techniques are commercially available at affordable prices by the target years so zero energy is feasible for the private sector to implement.     Reducing the energy/carbon footprint of the nation's buildings sector is essential for tackling climate change and will be an enormous challenge. Buildings account for 43% of t...

1 ESCO has a potential for vast annual energy savings
2 Use Solar & Wind power, Use LED lights instead of existing convensional light sources

The government has the resource and courage to start these renewable forms of energy. The private investors, invest only where they see their profit. So initial steps should be taken by the government, & surely the private investors would follow.
andyappan  |  Supported idea  "Of about 1000 billion units of electricity produced annually, only 600 billion units reach the consumer, where as the reporte"  |  2 years ago
why so big  letters ? please  mention  your  production , consumption in  ' QUANTUM / hOUR ' 1000 Bn unit / hour = 1000 Mn MWh = 1 Bn MWh global  capacity is only  0.5 Bn MWh
