Statutory Compliance - Handle various statutory compliances mandatory required for the smooth functioning. Appointed one HR Consultant who aids us in executing monthly Professional Taxes, half-yearly Labour Welfare funds, quarterly employment returns, and other relevant requirements under various Acts governing the business. Administration - I have handled the administration activity in the initial phase of the launch of the circle at Mumbai on an ad hoc basis. Though my role was specific to developments at that point of time primarily into facilities, stationery, clearings, etc. Achievements: Bagged a certificate and memento for contribution to the organization under Customer Orientation category in the Employee Meet 2010. | ||

Recruited positions in Accounting Reconciliations, IT, Investment Banking, Quality Assurance, Technical Services and Human Resources. In the initial two weeks of my joining, based on my performance I was confirmed for IT recruitment and furthermore, I was also given an opportunity to lead the process improvement areas in the HR section for the 6-7 months. Recruitment - Contributed to hiring Campus and Lateral talent, well within the recruitment budget and time constraints. Chose specific consultants to work on the recruitment needs. Coordinated with key consultants and was the Single Point of Contact for them for priority requirements. Conducted initial screening of communication skills, stability factors and profile/personality/organizational fitment of candidates for all positions. Responsible for Salary Negotiations before the Issuance of Offer Letters Created a database of relevant resumes (self-sourced and sourced by consultants) for future recruitment needs. Account management internally especially the key Banking and Financial sector, Insurance sector, Healthcare sector and Retail Sector as well as support departments. HR and Operations - Striving to change certain aspects of the HR focus, I ventured with other thinking members of HR to implement new developments in the following key areas to enable HR deliver a better service to its employees and thereby raise a bar in terms of internal standards. Induction and Joining Formalities Revised the pattern with more value to the process and leveraged technology to conduct the entire process in a day saving on time. Employee Database Management (Online and Offline) Set new time lines for each task to be completed and had my subordinates work to ensure we meet the 100% compliance on Employees Filed Documents as sought by the firm. Employee Health Checks and Records Worked out with the hospital on the list to give multiple appointment slots so that the new employees can manage their time. Followed up with the employees by mail/telephone/in person to ensure the check up is taken within the provided time frame from the date of joining. Employee Performance Management Initiation Initiated a progressive discussion with all managers on effective performance measures that would lead to performance discussions on time without delaying the process. Employee Welfare and Recreation Programs Initiated employee welfare schemes like Food Coupons, Deluxe Company Transport service, Company Car re-sale option, etc. Also launched sports day, ethnic day, and organized birthday celebration for employees. Employee Relations Handled and resolved all employees online grievances/escalations within specified timelines. Carried out counseling sessions on regular basis to address the queries of the employees. Corporate Social Responsibility Tied up with two city-based NGOs to focus on community service. Coordinated with them for Mumbai unit of the organization imparting education and training on Fine Arts, Sports, Technology, etc to underprivileged children. Achievements: Delivered a team of 15 for a certain reconciliation process in Syntels BPO arm within first two weeks of my joining. Went on to deliver more than 250 lateral hires for the Syntels IT arm. Created a pool of Business Analysts in Investment Banking domain. Introduced the concept of Video interviews to benefit from the technology by saving time and cost. Streamlined further the processes in HR to save on time, ensure quality and value to overall function and organization. Initiated feedback system for incumbents undergoing Induction to help us review the process, worked closely with the decision support team to ensure the manual work flow moves into the PeopleSoft based technical system, etc. Ventured into the invoice clearance for vendors. Set SLAs for invoices to be paid as per the agreed guidelines in the legal documents. Started delegation and accountability for the process to reduce escalations.
