.Net is not a week platform it have lot of capabilties and its obviously growing with time.. I will not compare it with any othere coz all tec have there + and - so we need to choose the tec depenging on the need.

If u dont want to use query strings and sessions u are left with few options like cokies or hidden fields.. or may be u can have a look at some 3rd party controls like http://www.madwidgets.com/Validator/
