We only spoke about the price range that an affordable house should be of 12-15 lacs... but people also have other priorities.. people wants to own a 3BHK flat... 2BHK falts are available in the price range of 18-22 lacs and the moment you go up...

The affordable prices of dwelling units may vary place to place depend on their economic  condition. As for as in Metros it should be 20-25 lacs for sub metros it can be 15-20 lacs.

THE QUALITY OF BRICKS IS DESPERATING DAY BY DAY IN RESPECT TO SHAPE AND COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH. THE THICKNESS OF MORTAR IN BRICK WALL GOES TO 1" WHERE AS IN CONCRETE BLOCKS IT IS AROUND 12mm. EVEN SAVINGS CAN BE SEEN IN PLASTERING IN CONCRETE WALL.

Great debate Mr. Anoop..... I agree with you, the cost of bricks are increasing nowadays but I think shifting to solid concrete blocks is not the right alternative. Solid masonry walls are certainly stronger, however brick walls are plenty strong...
