As member of Border Security Force, I had opportunity to venture into far flung areas of the country, normally cut off from the rest of the world for most of the time in the year. I have visited the remotest parts of J&K, Tripura, Nagaland etc. Besides, I have witnessed the formidable problems of infiltration on border and the nexus between the local politicians and the smugglers. By virtue of my position in the force, at present, I am looking after the management of the big human resource, of which the force is made of... The functioning of the force solely depends on the proper management of this resource which includes operations, welfare, administration, training and logistics of man power.

"Need of money and lack of thoughtfulness" amply explain the problem. Lackadaisical approach of the govt. to attract the youths in the mainstream, is also contributing to the problem. Though some measures have been taken, but they are like tiny drops... |
