Currently working with a leading telecom MNC SISO (Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd India Software Operations) in wireless terminal division since last 3months.The R and D work is related to 3G dual mode mobile handset development. Have been associated for more than 4 years with the countrys premiere telecom R and D Centre, C-DOT. The target systems are large distributed and real time in nature. Involved C-DOT 3G core network study group and involved in initial development of IP Multimedia CN subsystem (IMS) and Multimedia Messaging Services (MMS) including Value Added Services (VAS). Have been involved in development of, Lawful Interception System based on ETSI recommendations. Involved in various feature enhancements and technology stabilization related to C-DOT GSM solution (ADMN sub-system and OAM). Specifications Literacy ETSI Telecommunications security and Lawful Interception System. 3GPP MMS and IMS sub-system of 3G (initial study phase). ETSI GSM Network Subsystem (NSS) protocols. 3GPP Non Access Stratum (NAS) for user equipment. Familiar with SS7 protocol stack. Familiar with SIP, RTP, RTSP, MEGACO, HTTP, SOAP, SMTP and XML. Working knowledge of TCP/IP socket programming and IPC framework. . Platform, Operating Systems and programming languages C-DOT real time operating system CDOS and C-DOT Unix on the target machines SunOS, HP-UX and LINUX as host environment. C, Unix shell programming , AWK and SED and VIM Samsung handset platform(SHP) WCDMA Qualcumms MSM6250 platform Tools Software tools: GDB, DDE (HP-UX), XDB (HP-UX), GCC compiler, Adobe Frame-maker, power-point, word. SAMSUNG DUAL MODE MOBILE HANDSET (ALTITUDE) About the products The aim is to developing dual mode mobile handset equipment based on Freescales WCDMA platform which is an alternative to existing Qualcomms MSM platform. This handset will be able to supports both WCDMA and GSM-GPRS protocol stack. Assigned Responsibilities: I am involved in the porting and testing of NAS (Non Access Stratum) part Study of existing SHP (Samsung handset platform) and further porting on Freescales platform. Various innovative ideas and implementation methodology for user equipment as well as network side related to billing, voice call diversion, convergence and virtual operator. Documentation and understanding various NAS protocols like CC/SS/SMS/SM and MM/GMM. CDOT Law Full Interception System About the products The aim is to develop a telecommunication technology independent Lawful Interception system. The system would progressively serve any type of network entity including PSTN/ISDN switch, GSM-MSC, CDMA MSC, GPRS nodes and other network entities (NE). It can provision and collect the intercept, distribute to various intelligence agencies, monitor and analyze call contents and intercept related information. Assigned Responsibilities: I were involved in overall design and implementation of DF2 functionality at LEIF node of the system. I have contributed in Design and Development of IPC, Messaging framework based on message queues and shared memory, to be used by various DF2 and DF3 processes for the purpose of inter process communication either on same processor or different processor. Design and Development of Global Timer Logic which supports unlimited alarms and periodic timers on the system. Design and Development of traffic features for DF1 and DF2 interfaces. Design and Development of various IRI handling Processes at LEIF node of the System. C-DOT 3G system (MMS and IMS ) About the products: C-DOT has taken the challenge to come out with complete solution for 3G system. The specifications followed are 3GPP (Release V). The nodes to be developed include node-b, RNC, MSC/VLR, SGSN, GGSN, IMS, MMS and HSS. Assigned Responsibilities: I were involved in initial study and documentation phase of the 3G system. I have contributed in Documentation and understanding of protocol stacks for various interfaces of MMS subsystem like SOAP/XML, SMTP, HTTP/TLS, TCP/IP, BASIC and DIGEST. Documentation for Call Flow, Charging and Roaming for IMS Subsystem. C-DOT GSM Network Subsystem About the product: The C-DOT GSM NSS is complete solution having MSC, VLR, HLR, AuC, EIR and CIIS (Call interception and intelligence system). Addition of any BSS can make this system a complete GSM system. The MSC/VLR sub-systems were realized on C-DOT DSS. This project further meant for understanding the techno-commercial aspects of GSM networks by BSNL. Assigned Responsibilities: I were involved in various enhancements and feature addition to the existing GSM MSC, particularly in ADMIN subsystem. I have contributed in designing, development and implementation of various features supported with basic call functionality of GSM-MSC. Speech Monitoring: Provisioning and CDR delivery to the Law Enforcement Agencies for the interception of calls on switch. LAC Based Services: Support for various value added services by third party or service provider itself. Traffic Server: The dedicated server for the purpose of regular traffic and health monitoring of the switch. TCP/IP socket based Client part of Visual CRP: The backend for GUI based Man Machine Interface (MMI) .
