If you are able to get through the big names like TCS, Wipro, Infosys etc, then it would be better if you have sound knowledge of JAVA/J2EE or Oracle. And for Smaller firms, knowledge of.net, PHP with My SQL would be beneficial.

Asheesh all the language has good demand today in the market. So learn any one language properly and look for that related jobs. You decide and do ... if you consult with others you will get different opinion which will confuse you....
