it's definitely have reasons as everyone should be accountable and leader should have the leadership..  
We need to explore alternate energy solar,electric or hydrogen... but there is a lobby which is strong in favour of petroleum as they make money by various instruments of investments at some major mkts. We only need a mindset... it's simple  
Ultimately Google would benefit from the controversy as they are not doing well in China.Doing business in China is difficult as you could never trust a chinese.
