For a reengineering project the essential components are - Top Management, Strategy, Technology, Training, Focus of Key issues. However even if the rest of the components are taken care of by a great reengineering team, without the involvement of...

When you ask me what is the reason behind the failure I would say :Incomplete reengineering strategy. Because most organizations have a long-range strategy to put in reengineering effort, these strategies may be incomplete due to poor assumptions or...

So how did you get into project management?  In my case it was simply a case of right place, right time - I was in a relatively small company that didn't have formal project management, but did have the need to undertake a major, industry wide initiative. I didn't run as fast as everyone else and the rest is history. I'm guessing for most people here the decision to become project managers was taken tactically, rather than strategically.  What I mean by that is that few people sit down with their guidance counselor and seek out advice as to how to become a PM.  Instead, what tends to happen is that people look for ways to advance their career from (say) software developer or business analyst...

This reminds me of the truth that just because you put a group of people together doesn't make them a team. Just because you finished a leadership development class doesn't make you a leader. And just because you put someone in the role of a...

If Spam is necessary, nowdays there are many softwares and mails which even come inspite of having spam on your computer. There are almost all the mails which are not regarded as spam then what is the use of spam there.
Bala Santhosh  |  Argues in support of  "Necessary"  |  4 years ago
Yes the Spams are definitely necessary without which the junk mail would come in abundant and it would be very difficult to deal with them.

virtualization is a broad term that refers to the abstraction of computer resources. It can be defined as a t echnique for hiding the physical characteristics of computing resources from the way in which other systems, applications, or end users interact with those resources . This includes making a single physical resource (such as a server, an operating system, an application, or storage device) appear to function as multiple logical resources; or it can include making multiple physical resources (such as storage devices or servers) appear as a single logical resource. Celestial Jukebox By now, we music fans are well accustomed to getting whatever we want online, whether from iTunes, subscription services such as Rhapsody or free P2P networks. But this new freedom to listen to anything has come without freedom of movement; you're only free to get new music when you're sitting at your computer. When it comes to portable listening, you're generally stuck with whatever you loaded onto your MP3 player. Pundits have been yammering away for years about a celestial jukebox that will give everyone the ability to access all content ever created, from anywhere, at any time. This long-discussed concept is finally becoming a reality, at least as far as music goes. On...
