It is not possible to mechanize all activities fully

Yes , It has already entered the construction field in the form of CRAIN,BATCHING PLAT, CONCRETE BOOM PLACER nd many other tools are as good as the robotics. In this some are semi - automatic and automatic .

Automation of construction has proven feasible and Increases productivity, and on the contrary not all the activities can be automated.

Yes it is possible and required too. as labour dependency is to reduce and increase the productivity Robotics is required. In order to make it possible we can go semi automatic option in small less productive works. We can combine dependency of...

No concrete is going to be replaced by New Materials
NATTERAJA R. ARIKRISHNAN  |  Argues in support of  "Yes concrete is going to stay"  |  1 year ago
It is a good process in construction industry. Other methods will hardly find application to replace, especially in roofing of any building structures.Concrete is the best technology to bear the wait and all over the buildings.
Avinash Veeresha  |  Argues in support of  |  2 years ago
Lets Face it ,Its a versatile material and concrete is here to stay for a long time. With strengths as high as 80Mpa-100Mpa,outstanding resistance to explosion and/or impact, desigin possibility and shape as concrete seeks the form.
Manoj Kumar  |  Argues in support of  "Yes concrete is going to stay"  |  2 years ago
i dont think there will be an effective replacement material in the near future. Ofcouese we will see a lot of changes in terms of improvemnts in the existing products combined with new technologies and innovations. May be we will see such type...

Precast and prestressed structures are now widely used in India, only care to be taken is proper supervision while casting and launching. It saves a lot of time and resources.
Avinash Veeresha  |  Argues in support of  |  2 years ago
Precast and prestressed construction is hailed for outstanding speed of construction and durability, and better quality but how feasible is it?
Avisek Roy  |  Argues in support of  "Yes"  |  2 years ago
Pre-stressed ones can be used, only when it is done in proper supervision. The process is a succes all over and it is provent to be usable. China constructs 90% of its heavy constructions with it. And beyond doubt, it is hugely cost effective,...

1 Proper financial planning
2 Construction Materials
Prashanth Shetygere Kempanna  |  Supported idea  "Use optimum fund availabe"  |  2 months ago
Advance procurement will only result in unwanted inventory, which in turn is bad investment- need meticulous working not just Jnan
Avinash Veeresha  |  Supported idea  |  2 years ago
Some of the ways I have seen contractors avoid cost esclation is procure the materials in advance thru sub contracts.
Srinivas S.Mantrala, PMP  |  Supported idea  "Proper financial planning"  |  2 years ago
Bottom up estimating always gives more information and it is possible to take  good decisions on the cost aspects on the material those actually consume. But for preparing the these estimates consume lot of time and expenses the construction firms...
