HOTnHIT Newsfeatures (HNF) is a Bhubaneswar (Orissa) based broadcast news and documentary production distribution agency that primarily works as a media activism centre. With a statewide network of reporters and freelance producers, HNF works to bring the problems and issues of people and communities living at the grass root level of society. HNF has extensively worked on issues like climate change, displacement, development, livelihood, social conflict, man-animal conflict, coastal erosion, issues related to marine turtle habitats, environment and Industrialisation etc. My association with HNF has been challenging and interesting as well. I am working to expand its association and network across the eastern and north-eastern parts of India.

As the Correspondent for the State of Orissa, I looked after the planning and reporting of news across the state of Orissa. Among a few bests of my reports were a series of reports from Kandhamal when the district was reeling under violence in 2008, Special report on Coastal Orissa becoming frontline victim of Climate Change, deforestation and human encroachment of forests leading to man-Elephant conflict in Orissa etc.

At ETV Network, the joy was enormous because as the director of 'Yuva Bharat', I came across successful youth from various domains many of whom have virtually covered the arc from rags to riches. It was fantastic profiling an auto-rickshaw driver Murugan in Cochin city who is now associated with child line there and is helping out the slum children with whatever income he makes at the end of the day.
