Design, development and testing of databases, websites and software. Communication with clients for gathering Systems and Software Requirements. Coordination with team members and support team for development, documentation and training. Crime Analysis Software (GST CrimeMap): State of the art crime analysis software that allows analysts and law enforcement personnel to organize and query data; visualize data spatially on maps; perform spatial and temporal statistical analysis; and generate reports at the click of a button. Was involved in the entire Product Life Cycle process from requirement gathering to deployment and training. Did presentations for new and prospective clients. Carried out detailed study of the various Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and Records Management Systems (RMS) used by different agencies. Software Components: .Net framework using C#, ArcMap 9.3 and SQL Server 2008 in 3-tier architecture. Stored procedures, functions, views, indexes, triggers, etc. to organize data, perform search and spatial/temporal analysis. Worked on data ETL (Extract, Transform and Load), used linked servers when feasible. Wrote procedures to automate data extraction, parsing, loading and geocoding. Wrote modules for geocoding of current and historic data using GST and ArcMap geocoders. Used XML to create customizable forms dynamically and save the forms and settings. Used ADO.Net extensively for data retrieving, querying, storage and manipulation. Used ArcObjects with C# to dynamically create maps, manipulate them, perform statistical analysis using the statistical package, and geocoding. Used Crystal Reports and ComponentOne Reports for dynamic report generation. GST CrimeMap Web GL Designed and implemented a web based version of CrimeMap using Google Maps. Software Components: ASP.Net, AJAX, jQuery and Google Maps API. Secure web services for querying data. Geometry data type and functions in SQL Server 2008 for spatial queries. Reports using the Microsoft Chart Controls and reporting services. Employee Shift Optimization Software Multi-user staff scheduling and resource management software in C# with SQL Server 2008. Was involved in the entire Product Life Cycle process from requirement gathering to deployment and training. Did presentations for new and prospective clients. Carried out detailed study of the 911 call database of different agencies. Software Components: Used queuing models to calculate demand and Taboo search (a local search technique for mathematical optimization) to determine optimal schedules and spatial deployment patterns. Used ADO and DAO extensively for data retrieving, querying, storage and manipulation. Wrote T-SQL queries and stored procedures to extract data and perform various analyses like response time, committed time and demand. Developed an extremely user-friendly interface to create and maintain schedules. Provided techniques to avoid conflicts in the multi-user environment. Map Generation Tool and analysis software for an international real estate company using ESRIs ArcGis 9.2, VB and SQL Server 2005. Project involved programming using ArcObjects.
