"Hi, I'm a UK consumer PR looking to move to Brisbane & think my skills would make me a great fit for Red - DM me if that sounds of interest!"

This is what helped an employee to crack her dream job ...

So, is 140 characters enough to judge a candidate?

I think it depends on how you pitch about yourself. It also depends on the employer who will read your pitch & hire you.

I agree that if the employer is experienced then he/she can find a needle in the husk....

I agree with Mr. Ajay here. You can't judge a person just by 140 characters. You need to do a good selection process before deciding anything.

I support your statement, Nikhil. It purely depends upon interviewee & the interviewer only.

Some times, some also may get it

going without even an interview.

I had gone through only a single job

interview, and that was in 1955 for my first job.

In my 50 year long career,I happened to

have changed my employer twice,

each time with no interview, because

of what they knew about me before hand

and not from something I wrote.

So it all depends on various factors and situations.

Yes, if you mean to say, that first intro is sufficient to judge any person while interviewing, but not to those who are fiasco in recruitments!

After all, experience matter here too..!!

I agree with Nikhil here on this...If you are the one who is needed by the employer then a 140 character pitch is enough to show how worthy you are.....It is better than those long interview rounds where the employer & employee fake each other.

i think one has to possess the qualities and enough potential in order to be stable in the job.so just getting the job is not enough you should know how to make best out of this opportunity.

I agree with Mr. Anand. It is really a difficult task for recruiter/interviewer to recruit a candidate just by 140 character. But it is possible if the interviewer is so much experienced.
