3D smartphones: A smart idea?

With the spring so many colours have splashed out in the world of smartphones one of them is 3D phones. First the 3D was in theaters then it entered into our homes with 3D tvs and now the phones but as the size size of screen gets reduced won't the effect too go down? Will these 3D phones change the way we look at smartphones or they are just a gimmick?

Its a revolution in smartphones with everyday new technology and better and better innovations. These phones will be awesome and will give a great 3d feeling.

Can't expect much from a tiny screen can we? The phone will have to be kept at a specific angle all the time and why do we need a 3D phone after all!!

The "why do we need a...?" question is pointless at this point in the time period of human history.

Why do we need yet another love story? Why do we need mobile phones? Why do we need fast cars/bikes? Why do we need to fly in airplanes? 

Technology is technology. It is rarely useless. It's what we do with it that is important. 

The million-dollar question is:

What can we do with it?

Cant say right away that it is a gimmick. We need to examine the phone in question. Remember today film technology is increasingly veering towards the 3D domain, so watching one such movie on your 3d mobile could enhance the viewing pleasure manifold.

Remember we said the same things when the microprocessor was invented and then the micro chip that could process and hold unimaginable amounts of data !

NO NO IT IS NOT A GIMMICK.  BECAUSE MANUFACTURING A 3D PHONE IS NOT A CAKEWALK, IT NEEDS DIFFERENT KIND OF HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE, SINCE
IT NOT LIKE OTHER ORDINARY PHONES, ITS FUNCTIONALITY IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SUCH AS APPS, INTERNET SPEED, ETC.  

IT WILL NOT TURN OUT TO BE A DAMP SQUIB, SURE.

Leena I agree with your statement. No great thing can be done with small screen the user will get bore after some time hence it is more of a gimmick than any thing else.

Haha 3D smartphone...Thank God, it was not 4D smartphone, it can never get smarter than that. 3D never makes a phone smarter, in reality it makes it look like a dumb because it adds no speciality in terms of 'SMART' features.
