I Agree with Nitin Mehra, now a days many of looking for opensource php done very good position there,, As well as it had mysql itself so learning abt database also very easy no control pannel changes no problem at all,, Easy uploading in FTP,,, w3schools is usefull for beginner in php,, many buitin function in php, so easy to done program and easly host site as soon as possible,, Thank you

Well the Open Source Technologies will rule the world like linux is popular in these days. php and mysql are popular and also easy languages. They are feature rich languages. I am not agree with Mr. Ajay view. Php is not good like Java and .Net. it is being used only because it is very easy to learn and project cost is very low. Php is in market for very less time, but .Net and Java is ever green. php can't defeat java and .Net.PHP is better in its own world and .NET is better in its own arena
