Housing Sector or realty business was always dominated by the investors in the big and metro cities. Builders and Developers based all their calculations on the capacity of investors to invest. Since, the supply of houses was always short supplied the builders could dictate the market previously, the investors could take advantage of the surplus cash available with them.

The situation has now changed totally and the supply has overtaken the demand. Thus the demand in the higher segment has dropped down drastically. It was only after the slowdown started in 2008, the builders started concentrating on Affordable Housing.

Affordable Housing is that segment of the society, whose buyers have limited funds and limited needs. Hence, the Affordable Housing is the MANTRA these days. This segment is unimaginably big and the demand is totally need based. Thus, no investor will invest in such realties. Only actual users will go for it. Thus, it is the need of the day.
