According to my view its not a good one for Aitel. if they had invested that much of amount in other business strategies it would be effective to airtel and customers of Airtel.

yes, it is. Not in India even, here in Africa we heard lot Negative about their LOGO. Even their Ad layouts are TOO MUCH of RED & without any proper elements.

a bid to create novelty & rejuvenate the brand is definitely worth attempting. however, creating an new imagery for an already well known & hugely accepted brand logo should be done keeping the brand guidelines & public recall factor in mind. this new logo looks similar to an existing brand which is also a huge competitor & looks completely detached from it's prior image. on its own there is no brand recall attributed to it.

THANKS KAVITHA. THE AIRTEL'S NEW LOGO IS SIMPLY SUPERB, MUCH BETTER THAN THE PREVIOUS ONE. AIRTEL COMPANY HAS JUST SUPERIMPOSED THE LOGO ON THE PREVIOUS ONE AND IT WILL DEFINITELY FETCH MORE CUSTOMERS, I MUST SAY.

yes i do agree because each and every beginning has its end,to escape from dis closing, to survive in a competitive environment and to sustain its image in the eyes of its existing and potential users it is vital for organisation to continually rebuild its brand strategy

ThanQ Kavitajee! Change of LOGO need not be suicidal for any company. It may be surely marketing/business strategy. People will be used to it over a period of time.

Has not Airtel reached the leadership position leaving all its competitors far behind and consolidated its leadership position in the crowded market?

Can't say, since they are more concentrating in intl biz, it could be a first step to establish a logo for them. I believe that the prev logo was very simple and not attractive enough for intl buyers.

since Airtel has consolidated its market position it is a right time to enhance their market domination & give Brand identity thro' Logo. It may not look so impressive but not bad at one glance you can make-out & identify the co./Airtel. Yes ultimately the tariff, service & connectivity counts for its business success. Thanks Kavita

How important a symbol for a political party,so important a Logo of a company / Institution. Logo does identify the company's presence but also, the philosophy, Objective, Goal & the way to implement them. Also, it helps other entity in the same field, to identify it very easily without mincing a word. It has so much to say to the Company & the Business conglomarate. I do not feel that changing a Logo is not good for Airtel. Competency is the criteria, in all respects, in the global market. It may be , as a way competing it.
