Cheers! Domestic travel in Indian skies could soon be saying that. If a group of MPs has its way around, you could soon be sipping wine or enjoying a swig of beer while travelling from Delhi to Mumbai next or anywhere else in the country for that matter. At least three MPs, who are part of a consultative committee attached to the aviation industry, are seeking a go-ahead on lifting spirits, literally, on domestic flights.

First, I do NOT drink alcohol. However, I have no problem with the people drinking liquors. It is a matter of personal choice. If there will be a good system in place to guarantee the safety of all passengers BOTH who are drinking and who are not, it would be okay to allow liquors on board of domestic flights. Otherwise, it is precautionary better not to allow liquors on domestic flights.

Yes liquor should be served to make the flight more enjoyable and comfortable. Anybody who misbehaves after drinking should be handed over to the cops on arrival, which will act as a deterrent.

Yes, allowing a limited quantity is ok so that there won't be any disturbances to others. Because everyone have there own living style, some like to drink and some don't like to drink. It's their own thinking to live their own live. So it's all upto Airline operators decision depending upon their customers and their requirements.Democracy should rule. People who are willing to buy it, should not be stopped but this should be preceeded with a law that can deal with drunkards misbehaving themselves on the plane/airport

Liquor should not be allowed in Domestic flights...we have already seen what inhabrited passengers can do inside the flights..If after drinking liquor if you cannot control your self ...it is matter of concern for safty and security of other passengers..So better it is not to allow liquor on Dom flights.

No it shouldn't be allowed. There are many more things these MP's should look into instead of allowing liquor on flights. It is unnecessarily increase the burden on passengers as this facility is not going to be available free. Secondly there are other areas where a lot of improvement is desired, even the quality of food and related services. As it is the customer is loaded by the airlines by surcharges why should we increase the burden and yet again make air travel a distant dream for the common man in India.

In recent years, domestic aviation grown tremendously and the fare becoming cheap day by day. Now air travel is in the reach of common people. Serving the Beverage will add complications with Air service provider and to provide additional luxury will result in increase of fair. The meal charges are included in the fair and to add the liquor in it will cause the service provider to add the cost thus to increase the fairs which will make air travel costly. Thus liquor should not be allowed on domestic flights. Let's have the fun in flying in the air, not complicating the matter by providing the liquor, since domestic flights in India max take 2-3 hours from one destination to other destination and for this short duration we should not convert air plane into bar

Flight duration across the whole length and breadth of the country is not more than three hours. It is difficult to understand if some body is dying for the want of drinks during this period. Serving drinks in the flight will cause greater nuisance.......

I also agree to Nirmal, It will work in India. India is changing and so its people and their trends. Now when we are accepting all new trends then why not this. People would love to have a health treatment or stress free massage on a holiday.
