Hi Susheel, There is a specific method of posting a debate. I can see that you are new and your description says below 10th std so I think I must tell you how to do it.

Title is fine, then you should add a short description of what your topic of discussion is about.

Then you need to choose one side which you support strongly and give your supporting argument for the same. 

You should not post ambiguous topics where even you are not sure which side to support. You should not leave the description empty because your description will help others to understand what do you want to ask and thus they will be able to participate in a better way.

Now about the debate : Both the generations have there own set of good and bad things so I do not feel like comparing them.

hello Ravali,i agree with Mr.Narayan.Ancient gen were most thoughtful when compare to today's gen.they knew their affordness in everything and acted likely.they had future thinking where we are against and becoming just this moment thinkers.

Ancient generations were sustainable , since they never took from Mother Earth more than they could give back.

There was no exploitation of any community , though all were not equal ; every person had his / her place in society.

Today , we are a democracy only in name ; all are equal only on paper ; in reality we are a deeply divided society ; millions have not seen a drop of hygenic water , while others live only on bottled mineral water. Millions will grow up and die illiterates , while others will accumulate degrees ; millions will be born , live and die with only stray dogs for company , while others can afford to spend a billion dollars for a single house.

hey you can not compare Apples vs Oranges, both generations have their own strenghts and merits and have evolved beautifully with time. What is Moden generation will soon become Ancient generation and so on.

Ancient generation had discovered the ideas and the present generation is developing and upgrading the ideas.This is about technological matters. But on human values and procedures, we should learn from them. On social procedures (like marriage, widow-remarriage,education etc) we can learn nothing from them.

What do you mean by "ancient generation" - you are talking about people who lived in stone age, iron age or Before Christ era or the ones who lived in medieval period or the ones who have lived in 20th century? Please clarify.

i also feel that ancient generation is much much better as compared to modern generation. i know that modern generation is much fast and developed as to ancient.but one thing that strikes my mind is the environmental problems which is caused due misuse or we can say overuse of technology and because of this i feel that ancient age is much much better than nodern age.

As life is a mix of good and bad, Both generations have good things and unknown things. It depends on what subject u referred to based on generations. the debate without reference is ambiguous

When I was in college my Father used to tell me that I am bit Modern and Now at present I turned in to ancient generation. Those who are modern one day they will become ancient but the society the work will goes on.So as far as the work the society is concern it is difficult to bifurcate between modern and ancient generation.What work we are doing for society and for Nation is important but not such childish useless discussions

Good and Bad exist always, with changing times you develop some qualities and in turn certain qualities dimnish. Desired results do not change and directive principles of life also remain unchanged. Only times change and tools of life change. I agree with Ravali.
