There is a lot of buzz regarding Apple tablet these days, and the man behind it Steve jobs is working behind it for the last couple  of years. It will completely change the way the laptops will be seen in future, may be we will be calling it a tablet and not a laptop anymore.  An insider has also revealed that the Apple tablet is indeed real, and it will be replacing the whole keyboard and mostly what people are expecting is  A 10-inch touch-screen tablet running the iPhone OS, and it is priced somewhere between Rs. 35,000-Rs. 45,000 approximately (700$ -900$) . But then there's a twist, the tablet can act as a secondary screen/touchpad for Apple computers. This makes it different from and more appealing than every tablet that has come before.

I think this Apple tablet is a great product from the house of Apple surely will change the way one was working on a computer and a laptop, with the success of iphone i guess this will have an impact and then there is multiple monitors have gained tremendous appeal over the years by using this tablet as an additional monitor is a great thing and it's not hard to see why having a secondary monitor allows you to reference one thing while manipulating data on another, the more screens the better it is..and i think it will replace the laptops as many other companies will be venturing to this tablet model.

I would like to differ here as Apple tablets project was scrapped twice by Mr. steve jobs himself and after a long work leave Mr. Jobs has the responsibility to create something which worked like iphone for him, and this Apple tablet looks like a bigger version of an iphone  and i don't see people carrying this bigger version of iphone and don't see people going for this tablet when there are various other booklets and netbooks on the same line, have to watch out how this tablet from Apple comeout for that matter, till then its very difficult to come up whether the Apple tablet works or not.

It mainly depends upon the configuration whether it can get to user expectations or not. I mean memory storage, RAM speed etc. If it can, then definitely it will replace laptops

The iPhone phenomen shouldn't be compared with the iPad. While Apple makes some amazing devices and software, it shouldn't be forgotten that gadgets become obsolete within a couple of years along with it's OS/software. Not very encouraging isn't it?

People who are die-hard Apple fans - good for them, the others are looking for utility. Maybe the experience is amazing when surfing the net or reading an e-book or because it can even double up as a regular computer but to just catch on to a geek, it's usefulness would be judged before (s)he is jumping for one. It's good to turn a device upside down and voila the screen adjusts to your viewingposition.....but how long does one 'play' with that? Different people have different needs when it comes to computers and computers have gotten smaller, and the Apple has it's share in the market but there are other devices that cater to the same kind of groups. Like a small percentage of users in India use iPhone, a safe parallel can be drawn for users of iPad as well. If it has to replace a laptop - the pad has to allow techies like me to programme on it using Sun and Microsoft technologies...... a little far fetched for the moment I'm certain.
