Both Suresh kalmadi, and Ashok chavan who were found guilty in the CWG and Adarsh scam respectively were asked to resign from their posts and we never know what will happen to all that huge amounts of money which was misused in both the cases. And now Telecom minister A Raja is being given a clean chit with 1,70,000 crore fraud.

What do you think people are bureaucrats getting away with corruption?

I think yes, everybody in the country has some or other political god fathers, anybody can get away with anything here, there is nothing called as being held accountable for things that they do here. And when the political god fathers here are culprits its very hard to get them nailed or justice being delivered here, and justice delayed is something like justice dennied and I don't see Top bureaucrats in the country being punished for their corruption acts, there is Lokayukta and there is RTI but there is no strong enough system and the mentality to nail these people.

Times do not remain the same always, there always change, it may take some time but definitely the end to this problem will definitely come when a majority of people(specially educated youth) will definitely change the current corruption majority people. Be patient on this subject BE ASHAWADI. We will definitely get some great leader to deal with these current politicians, 90% of whom are corrupt

Not only get away they are the real force or the cause.

No politician can ever match average service or thus believed tenure of a bureaucrat in service.

And no politician can match the level of knowledge of loopholes in system.

Disha, thanks for refer

Yes agree with the views. They can misappropriate any amount in multi billion, but they will escape without any confiscation. This is a pre-planned design to set aside money that involves a group of network involving politicians, bureaucrats and others in the helm of affairs. All will get their share in accordance with the prportion that planned already.

Thanks for the referral Ms. Disha roy.

India is a democratic country with multiparty system of government,we copied our judiciary, we are not framed our lawbooks as per democratic government,America is following two party system so, their laws are strict and justified, but in our country high court judgment is overlooked by supreme court and district court judgment is overlooked by high court and the cases are going for so many years, till the opposition dies in some cases itself

Every scam attracts our attention for a brief while or till the next scam comes out. Scams are dozen a dime now.end of the day nobody gets penaised.the only penalty they get is an end to amass wealth in their position and sooner or latter they are given the same opportunities in different assignments.

The gross rot at the top and the competition to achieve excellence in systemic manipulation has been perfected to an endemic artform in India. Reason: Is obvious - no erring bureaucrats or politicians jailed (for the rest of their parasitic/useless lives) for today's societal malaise where they have been abetting creation of social ills like - rampant lawlessness (tax evasions , rapes, communal strife etc..), spreading red brigades. These jokers need to emulate the defence forces, where if you are caught in the wrong assuredly you will pay for it - wheteher you are a General or otherwise. Mere forced resignation from the job is pure hogwash, the guilty need to grace the subhuman jails of the country in solitary confinement.........

Always it is bush beating, and nothing will happen. CWG scam should be thoroughly investigated and those who involved would be puniched and the money should taken aback. It is common man's money. It should not be an eye washing.

Yes, And we can say it as that all they are interconnected.. otherwise no one can do that type of work (scams) if our Govt dept is taking care of any program ....

Disha I agree totally with you on the subject. What you said in addition once the party receive a hefty amount as donation then the culprit will obviously get away.

It is unfortunate but true. Probably a fall out of democracy,

The bureaucrats get away easily with corruption, mainly because their bosses i.e. the politicians are mostly corrupt and they get support from them

Government does not have Performance Monitoring System in place and good apprisal system. The corrupt BABUS name should be marked as "D'rated and stringent action has to be taken, so that next time no one dares to do it. However we can only write and coudt not do anything. Just Imagine the amount of money is looted by the politicians and their associated if can used in a positive way. I hope we do not have to pay TAX to Govt.

YES... THEY ARE & THEY WILL KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH CORRUPTION... Let me clarify that it isnt a SINGLE PERSON who does this. There is a Chain of bureaucrats & politicos involved in any & every scam. Only One person becomes a scapegoat BUT that is also on the facial level. PUBLIC MEMORY IS TOO SHORT... Remove the Man from His Post & send Him in Hibernation for some time... Every Scam is forgotten & they get away with CORRUPTION...

CHEERS !

YES.  Including a Judge in Kolkatta.

And we are unable to do anything. The only remedy to this is to change the system (everything including the criminal justice system, the constitution, Administration system, etc.). Let us drop the old British systems that was followed for centuries. We need systems and procedures that have teeth.

And unfortunately it can only be done by those who are in the power. Hence this is unlikely. The only ray of hope that general public had (in rural areas only) was the Naxals but they seem to be interested only in killing poor Jawans and Headmasters and inconsequential small time rural government officials.

Hence, the only thing that a honest person can do is "not to be corrupt and ignore these issues" so that he doesn't get mad.

Thank you Disha for the reference. I totally concur with you. Unless there are stringent anti corruption laws that covers politicians and bureaucrats, nothing can be done. The Govt also must look into estabishing fast track courts exclusiviely for corruption related cases. The change must come from the law makers and they are not committed. While commenting on corrupt people, Jawaharlal Nehru said "They must be hanged to the nearest lamp post". How right he is ?

Except few caught by Vigilence of Lokayuktha majority of them are safely enjoying the ill gotten money in the name of their bossess-Ministers. they are looting all the benefits allocated for the poor in the country. Hoe many of the flood, draught,Tsunami victims are benefited by the funds. Very negligible percentage of funds reach the victims. Major portion is shared (bu day time robbery) by them Poor POOR

I think UPA has made their respective ministers quit on the wake of these scams as even they don't want any of the tainted ministers in their camp and with A Raja to go.....I think he will also be reprimanded for the 2G spectrum fiasco and the amount of money which he lost for the Government exchequer.....if people like these are not punished then the government will be sending out wrong signal and they really don't want to do that.
