IT IS WORTH A PINCH OF SALT OR NOT IS NOT THE ISSUE IT IS ALL ABOUT HOW WE PERCEIVE IT. VIEWS ARE PURELY BASED ON INDIVIDUAL INTERPRETATION ON THE ISSUE RELATED. Hummm.. i feel toostep is ok... when compared to facebook.. coz i hate mark :) .. thats different.. I can notice it from few things... I Toostep has taken into mind that .. this platform is only for valid discussions. and other stuffs.. So they have concentrated less on photographs.. stuffs.. i mean the profile pics. Coz its true lot of people in social networking sites, eaily destroy it by profile pics. i am not sayin its wrong.. .. its there wish. Buut what these guys have choosen is right.. i really loved that... and the way the present the topic to the respective people. Most of the people here are professionals.. and i guess they are highly educated. so there wont be any shit around this site. So everything will eb fine. Most probably the entire plan of toostep is good.. I have not tried other social networking sites like toostep.. may be thats why i feel its good. In my point toostep is farbetter when compared with other networking sites. I spend some valuable time in toostep .. than i spend in facebook. and twitter.. Its good .. P.s Shiv

All rests on the way you perceive. It may be a pen for you but may be its the most precious thing for the other.If you are here to show how smart you are then only this question may come. Everybody is earning well and settled.Toostep is a platform for all of us to communicate with the industry would be leaders and make the necessary corrections or even plan for betterment with some new ideas added and shared by some other.Whats the harm in sharing ideas as knowledge increases if shared.

Toostep discussions are really worthy to talk for except some few ones. Lately I noticed that many unprofessional activities are going on here. I have also noticed that just to increase their points some people are just adding one line to the discussion. they need to know that Points are not the thing to matter, it's the quality of your thoughts which matters. Some people are also acting in a cheap way because I have noticed that in all debates there's girls always on the top because of those likes to their comments even their comments are not so professional compared to other peoples.I hope that all the people will understand the dignity of this site and will act in a professional way.

Well its good to discuss over here but i guess no quality discussion is going on here. People usually are diplomatic or self centric in keeping the discussion in their line. A discussion is about a common problem and finding its solution from the mass. So a humble request please post only those discussion which worth getting discussed and of importance.

Yes toostep is a platform where everyone can discuss any market related topic, any burning topic which we can discuss. See the main thing is that if we discuss her, i am sure out of us few will take steps, few will gain knowledge out of discussions and few will give us unique ideas to do something better. How serious are we to elicit opinion from the commoners? Are these suggestions find place in policy making? How ably these suggestions are articulated and presented to the relevant authorities as opinions from cross-section of the society? Who monitors and propose to take a lead role in converting this material into a useful proposition? Perhaps, one may like to follow the steps adopted by Mumbai-based forum.

Yes toostep discussion is worthy. It is the best medium who wants to gain knowledge in HR. We share knowledge because we want to gain knowledge. Differnt perceptions about differnt things. so it is the good way to understand different people perceptions. In HR book we all read this. so in practical if Toostep discussion is providing us the medium to other people perception so it is good.

Going thro points for and against this topic any one will observe contributions made before 12 months,5 months 2 months are there.I appreciate the enthusiasm of new entrants participation.to start with most people are like this and soon things change which is called as soda bottle enthusiasm in this part of the country.As mentioned earlier by me i haver 352 contacts in my contacts list and the sad truth is very few are actively participating today.Many come and go and do not stick on.Toostep is not able to retain talented,experienced,capable people whose valuable experience can be shared by many free of coat.This shows the quality of contributions.Lesser said the better.

I can't say these discussions are worthless. This is one platform I have been with for a long time. however, of late, there is a tendency to simply fill worthless points of view, often multiple similar views; as original idea of the filler. This is taking space and the discussion quality comes down. In most discussions, we do not get a proper, precise, concise picture on the topic. Toostep was not like this earlier. It was a genuine knowledge exchange platform. Honestly, I am either looking for a different platform or to form my own discussion group somewhere - perhaps even on my own website. As long as Toostep was functional, I never felt the need for it!!

I am writing this comment with a heavy heart. Instead of becoming a professional site, it has become a 'time-pass' site. Many people are miusing the site for posting irrelevant matters and I had to raise the flag umpteen number of times.Except for a few, may be 5 to 10 percent, the other discussions are not professional at all and some of them are in bad taste. I genuinely feel that Too Step will look into this and set it right. Another suggestion is, set up a max limit of 15 or 20 comments and let the initiator or a moderator give his comments impartially. Some times it is becoming too personal and I had to intervene as a moderator to stop verbal abuse.

Hey Sujit, I'm totally with you on this one, mate. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that TooStep is just another wannabe mash-up of FB & LinkedIn. Do we really need one more? The quality of questions and English is ATROCIOUS to say the least. After whipping a few backsides into correction, it starts looking like a lost cause. Even the title of this one is a prime example of pathetic English skills - "worthless discussion_s_" doesn't "need_s_ improvement" - they need improvement. Sigh!

Discussions are very good if you consider this to be a "social networking site". But, TooStep markets itself to be a "professional networking site". If we compare it to sites like linkedin.com, it falls short for sure. Discussions on TooStep will not help entrepreneurs or professionals as they are more "social" than "professional" in nature.
