I feel SOA is getting complicated by ESB proliferation, ESBs are designed to be their own center of the universe. How to intermediate transactions across these ESBs is the important question need to be answered. This leaves enterprise architects facing the problem of how to integrate the integration platform. Cross-vendor ESB integration with a minimum of customization could be done but if any complexity is added to the mix, technically possible, becomes realistically more problematic.This problem are being alleviated to some extent by the recent mergers and acquisitions among SOA vendors but still not concrete enough.
