i think in India the only problem during training is that they dont give enough practical exposure then in foreign countries and also they r given not much salary when they are training whereas in foreign countries they give enough money with other facilities also......i also prefer training in india only but d facilities in india should be improved especially if u getting trained for your future...

Training in India is fire fighting while in other developed countries it is pro-active.

Trainers here are from my personal network  while in other countries they are certified.

There is very little pre evaluation in place( yes I know it is being done but much more is on the gut feeling of the manager)

No way.

There is still along way to go in fostering self learning, out of the box or lateral learning.

Its also because HR students are not taught or exposed to  the idea themselves.Once in an  organisation they have no clue on what to do

and development?what is that?

I feel Indian companies just talk but they really don't care about employees. They don't have any strategy for such an important function. In spite of the largest available workforce in India, still it is crying hoarse over the ineffectiveness and lack of skills of this huge population. Nobody is willing to take the initiative to solve this as a common problem.

Yes Sir this is the best way. We cannot expect someone to trust us as long as we are not transparent.
I am neutral just to comment I am here.. It does not mean I am on this side.. :) A company stands tall with the good balance between all the sources not alone HR or sales.. We can't compare them..Can we.. One can't go long without another..
