This was the Statement given by Wasim Akram(arguably the one of the best fast bowler the game of cricket ever had) on the current string of indian bowlers I completely agree with him,its really sad that india never had a genuine fast bowler after Kapil and Srinath.Today there are a lot of promising young fast bowlers but they don't live upto the expectation we can look at the current string of bowlers Team India has tried out in past Irfan,R.p Singh,Balaji,Munaf,Sreeshant,Pankaj Singh,Abhimanyu Mithun...the list is endless everyone of them when they make debut bowl around 150 kmph mark then after each passing series there speed decreases drastically look at irfan who started bowling ata reasonable pace but ended up with 115-120 after which he was dropped(Know he is crying fowl on not been selected) same with balaji,munaf,ishant,sreesant,rp... My question is what is the reason behind this Is it too much of cricket being played nowadays(with the advent of T20 Cricket) or is it the lack of match fitness of the players(Players becoming more injury-prone) Are we going to get a good genuine fast bowler other than Zaheer Khan before the WC or will the dream of winning the WC will just be a dream?
