Given the situation the India managers act at par with the rest of world. Interest is important. For personal interest we nip a good decision at the bud. We have excellent managers in Tata, Reliance and similar companies. Even in government. We have some of the best minister managers and some for their own benefit derail the best managed scenarios. Best example is Lalu Prasad. He managed Bihar and is managing Railways. Everybody knows what happened to Bihar and what is happening to Railways. Another is Sharad Pawar. He has made a turn around and has made BCCI a highly successful venture. And what a mess he has done to Agriculture ministry. All for the personal interest. So Indian managers are both best managers and best mis managers depending their personal interest..

Yes! I believe we are good in managing situation, as private citizen. Moreover, in our experience, murphy's laws always hold good. Hence we always are prepared for the worst or atleat keep the worst case scenerio in mind while taking decisions

If we analyze different area we can summarize the decision making power is absent in most of Indians, do we have great thinker who can change their life with the given facility, no all are orthodox. Education- nothing great all look towards us/aus/uk for better education. Hardly any IITians or IIM's innovate new idea or utilize great about locale. Working in NASA and MNCs is last they can do.
Game - We lack great thinkers here as well. Great performer Sachin but worst captain. All these to narrow to business where there is absent of any theory or new logic by Indians. Tata, mittal, azimji or nmurthy all are showing very ordinary decision making capacity. Have they done any great thing outside India that would made Indian reliable and others come India even for simpler things. What they come for is call center/ BPO- worst thing in their country or they are gaining more than Indians.
