Are Indians the most ambitious and mobile workers?

According to a recent survey, Indians are the most mobile workers in the world, willing to switch jobs for better career opportunities than their peers in other parts of the world.

The mobility index found Indian workforce was the most flexible in the world, with their mobility rising to 147 index points in the second quarter of 2010 as compared to 140 in the first quarter this year. According to the survey, the maximum employee churn across the globe will be in India, followed closely by China and Mexico. This is also corroborated by the findings of factual job change in the past six months, where again the scores are the highest in India followed by China.

I agree with this survey. Indians are ready to work in any condition, any circumstances and in any place. Indians love to work hard and do a lot of Physical and mental work. Far more than others. No wonder we have been ranked the highest

East or West Indians are best hahaha joke apart but Indians are very ambitious and energetic for their work ,we have passion to do work.

Indians r most ambitious and mobile, dedicated, knowledge mongers. That is the reason they r everywhere through out the world serving every country and contributing for the development .

I think there is a misunderstanding here - on the one hand you talk of mobility ; on the other hand you speak of ambition.

Indians may certainly be the most mobile , if we go by the survey , and what we have heard from people - Indians are found working all over the world , irrespective of the kind of work , or the working environment.

However , I doubt whether Indians are the most ambitious , if by ambition we mean the desire to get ahead of others in the race.

Most other nationalities try to have a balance in life ; away from the workplace , they either enjoy their personal life , either alone or with their family , or enjoy a different aspect of life , in their hobbies and personal interests.

Indians , on the other hand , have little else apart from their work. Neither do they spend quality time with their family , nor do they have any passion in life other than their work.

I have heard that when two Indians meet , the first question they ask of each other is "Where do you work ?" ; when two foreigners meet , the first question they ask each other is "What do you do ?" meaning other than work , what are your interests ?
