According to me yes the job losses are on the decline as we are not hearing about recession or talking about recession any more these days, so with this we can come to conclusion that recession after effects are over and people are looking forward for better days ahead. The most affected were the IT industry people whcih had its professionals in a spot of bother for a year or more and lucky few had settled for less paying jobs till now, many of their plans were upstaged due to recession.

And also the recent reports by Mercer consultants one of the top consultants in the country said that the situation would be normal at the end of 2009..so surely better days ahead and the job losses are on the decline.

I don't think so. The economic conditions have started getting better but still people are continuing to loose their jobs in the name of Recession. Employees are still struggling to get jobs and the process of "skill increasing" is still going on. In this condition, how can we say that job losses are on decline?
