Are Maoists the bigger problem than terrorists interms of Internal security in India?

At least 65 people have died in a rail crash in a Maoist area of India which was blamed on an act of sabotage. A passenger train derailed in West Bengal's West Midnapore district because of a broken plate connecting the ends of two rails, a rail official said. It then came into the path of another train coming in the opposite direction. The area is known to be a stronghold of Maoist rebels. Early reports spoke of an explosion derailing the passenger train.

People are crying from inside as still the rescue operations are going, the incident took place in the night at around 1.30pm and nearly 200 people are injured. And the Maoists menace is getting bigger by the day and have become India's biggest internal security problem than Terrorists lately.

What do you  think guys, are Maoists & Naxals the biggest Internal security problem in India than Terrorists at the moment?

I think yes Maoists are currently the biggest internal security challenge for Indian government, but then they have started these attacks and kidnappings all of a sudden where so many lives are lost, still the Dantewada and the recent Bomb blast of a Bus is fresh in the minds of people and now this train derailment due to blast where again nearly 65 people are supposed to be dead by this act.  Even though terrorism is also a big problem for so many years, but the attention should be more towards the Maoists problem and effective strategies to take them on than terrorists, threat within the country is a much bigger problem than the threat from outside the country by the terrorists....so, currently Maoists are a big challenge to the Indian government which needs some stern action against these people....

THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE 2 GROUPS.

Terrorists are compounded & sponsored with many Kattarpanthi Islamic Groups trying to teach & convert the whole population of the world to follow ISLAM. The main sponsor are ISLAMIC Countries. They are just using lands of Afghanistan & Pakistan.

MAOISTS are a group of people who are sponsored by CHINA trying to get the SEVEN SISTER States -Arunachal Pradesh,  Assam,  Meghalaya,  Manipur,  Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura get seperated from INDIA. China is a country with a mentality to expand its borders. Already Nepal is under its control. Now having a bad eye on India 7 Sisters States.

 

BOTH SHOULD BE EQUALLY TREATED.

Yes they are the biggest problem the India facing.  Yet, there are voices supporting their actions.  I cant understand their view point.  Govt. should consider it as Law and Order problem and nullify them.  Any dialogue with them is not going to give any result.

In practical terms Politicians are the biggest problem those who breed these and those who use them to meet their needs and also those parties who shield them and provide them yickets to contest elections.If we weed out these so called politician terrorists then it is easy to control both Maoists and external terrorists. The Govt back bone can be straight when the political parties are cleaned.So my vote is for neither

Its not a question of Maoists or terrorist and the level of problems created by these groups.....the problem is India's stance for tackling these issues in much softer manner....Now its a high time that India should adopt strict laws for such trouble makers so that they should be scared of performing such acts in future......

If you remove these internal terrorist then 1/2 problem si solved becoz it means

change in govt action and working

The only way out of these problems, is to adopt a fast, quick and intolerant approach in punishing such people.

Since we have been asked for a choice in terms of Internal Security,my choice is the Maoists are the Biggest problem. However if you reflect on the Defination of Terrorist which the UN has roughly been able to put together in 1994, is a criminal act to instill terror in the general public or a group of people for political,philisophical,idealogical,racial or religious advantage or gain. Going by this Defination,Maoists are terrorists!!

The problem is state's inadequacy to deal with problems in these areas. That is root cause. Maoists are a symptom. The state policy to tackle it, is more baffling. Like British, from Indira's time, the focus is on supress the insurgency, without dealing with the problem. Am I right?

These are all irrelevant now .......  whether India's internal security is at stake for the mis-deeds of Maoists   ... etc.

Offcourse moist are the biggest threat for the India now.when the nexala movement started in 1967 they had some meaningful objectives.They had opposed all the Govt policies which were against poor people, but now they are not fighting for the poors & merginalised.They are only fulfilling their needs. the term Hungry moists are not relevence now,latest weapons are the examples that they are associateed with other outsiders who wants to destroys the unity & progress of India.i think govt must take strong action against Moist first.There is no need to show mercy.Any person who try to kill innocent person must be punnished.

Yes they are the biggest problem for India. Government should take an active and powerful step to crush this problem otherwise this will become a major problem and there will be no solution. Day by day they are causing threat to the nation security.  It is proved that they have union with the terrorists also.  All the political parties and policy makers are to come together and solve this problem in a right manner let it be amicably or by taking strict action.

yes ,Because ,,, jihadis are rich terrorists .. But.. these ..maoists are empty stomached ones .. &&hunger causes havoc.. BTW opening up of universities in naxal areas is a gud step provided naxals( hungry ones) are appointed laborors , clerks , orderlies , peons..in construction.etc..proper land cost is given .. Vice - chancellor ( tribal)..but professors educated ( bengalis & southees..they r D best ).. maoism will disappear from it's roots .. and nobody can refute my claim !!

I respectfully oppose Mr Ajay. if the Maoists are hungry people then from where they are getting money to purchase the Guns & the explosives. & Maoists are also consisted of HIGHLY EDUCATED PEOPLE (teachers, engineers, etc.)
