Are naxals really serious about development of backward areas ??

Time and again, Naxals have complained about the failure of Indian govt to address the issue of backwardness and growth in the hinterland and the areas inhabited by Adivasis. It has been claimed that the aborigines of these areas have been oppressed since long and the natural resources have been exploited by a limited few in the country. Now the question arises - do the activities of naxals convince about their seriousness for development of these areas ?
