Yes they are, because they somehow relate themselves with them and in India celebrities are actually considered as the untouchable and unreachable stars whom u can see only in your dreams.

Yes Tina, we are more curious abt personal lives of celebrities, especially youngsters fm both Metro & non Metro cities r more curious about the personal lives of celebrities, their feelings, their dress code, their life style, their friends & enemies etc. This weakness will be exploited to the hilt by the advertising community by getting endorsement of the products by these celebrities by paying huge sum. Also media is thriving on these Gossip Columns to capture readership & eyeballs for their channels. As it is we always suffer from the ' Neighbour's children are always better' 'Friends wife is always beautiful' syndrome. Rao

In India everyone is bothered about someone elses' life. May one be a clelebrity or no clebrity. One in India invest more time on cribbing bout someone elses's success or rejoicing on someone elses' failure than on themselves

Of course we are keen to know the people who inspire us to do something in life. It's an SRK we give an example of when we talk about loyalty in love and success at a single point of time. So, the celebrities in India are not just human beings but, demi-gods loved by millions of the countrymen.

Yes we are, that is the main issues that will be discussed among most of us in schools, colleges and offices. If there are a group of friends chatting, most of the topic will be on film related news. Even the news papers and local magazines are surviving because of this. If they stop publishing such news nobody will buy it. Indian are fond of gossips and they can't live without it !!!!

WHO CARES? NOT THAT. The fact is that it is the media who hanker after the celebrities only to get some spicy material and compel the people to watch that compulsorily. They don't have any time to see what happens in the rest of India, which often goes unnoticed unless there is some big accident or calamity, just not to remain behind to show their unawareness. You can wonder, media feels pride even in showing the vacant tents where there would be arrangement for sitting of the caterers, or even vacant hotel rooms where the celebrities would land. You can understand what specialty is there in showing all that? In those parts of news, you can't find people just sneaking in to those places to show any keenness. Just tending to waste time of people of India in the absence of news items. In other words, I can say, in the absence of any keenness by people it is just overloading of raw information over the people.

People doesn't means to students and time passers, people who are responsible to lead their family and senior human being are not interested to get this type of affairs, media should make a servery to check their wrong direction of thinking .
