Of course, there is plenty of scope for more. The more there are, the more are the choices available for people. It is not all necessary that everybody has to use everything. It varies from individual to individual. I usually use 3 or 4 at a time. When something new & better turns up, I switchover.

I think so, Yes. The number of people on social networking is minisucle compared to the people who actually have access but have not joined.

YES, but It seems there is no stopping to such sites. People with different mindsets and with no basic understanding of such sites and with just for the sake of unusual and unncessary purposes are exposing themselves to more and more new site. It shold be used meaningfully and not commercially. There needs to be control on such activities otherwise the very purpose of being on such site/s will have absolute no value.

I hope you would have played Zynga's Farmville & Mafiawars on Facebook where you invite your friends and enhance you level of playing the game. It is no different from creating one more network but the only thing is you created it in the eagerness to play the game. So such a Networking site catering to Niche segment will still be able to gather the crowd.

Yes there is space for users to join or create their profile in a new network provided it caters to a niche segment or adds something new to the social network angle.

Nah, if you get most of your friends of one network, you will only ask others to join the same network, unless ofcourse, the network starts bugging itself.

i don't think there should be more of such sites as it will wipe away viewers interest. registrations would decrease as people will have to choose whom to register with. The faith and reliability would shake,as competition will sweep in un-necessarily.the existing sites should focus on bringing more innovation rather than having more on similar grounds. This should be used to connect people professionally and socially rather than just being a mode to increase the memberships.Already we hear people saying that i am already on so many sites cannot afford more time to register with new,but as we see, there will be no stopping to more of such sites as people won't stop to innovate in newer fields and the old existing sites would rule because of being the prime movers.Lets see who is up in the eplatform of social networking.
