Scientists have been working for years to create a man-made organism. Recently, they have said that it is nearly complete. Those who oppose this move say that the chance that dangerous organisms could be inadvertently (or purposefully) unleashed on a world unprepared to deal with the consequences. Because there is no precedence, scientists don’t know for sure what kind of negative impact is possible.

While control measures have been suggested, such as using software to spot purchases of DNA sequences that could be used as weapons, there is no comprehensive regulation in the field of synthetic life. Even if artificial biology could be kept under control and appropriately monitored—something many say is near impossible—activists and researchers are concerned that the technology may be exclusively locked up for commercial gain.

So users, do you think scientists are playing God?

While creating new life scientists are not playing God rather they are creating a revolutionary implication for how to see life. These people are ecstatic about what they are doing, since they provide one of the clear alternatives to burning oil and coal. When life is synthesized, it makes the notion of a living being less special. Manipulating nature without knowing where they are going.

This discovery will change everything. Thanks to this discovery we can now compare us with GOD. Its our approach to become perfect and I don't think  its unethical use can surpass the benefits we are going to reap in the future. Few laws, a little regulation has the power to make this technology available for exclusive use. This discovey will take the mankind into the future. And again it has huge business potential too..

what do we think. Is god a creature like us that we can play with Him. the creator has provided us with everything which we need for sustainance of our lives. The scientists are doing their job and discovering this world in any manner is not playing with God.Every matter which our cells are made of is present on this earth and they dont have to import it from Heavens. So let them do what they think they should , but only thing that worries me is the control practices of these researches.

What a bad luck? Instead of being grateful to those great souls, we preferred to criticise  them this way. Our ignorance has no end. We, the ignorant souls need treatment to come out from deep sleep  of poverty, ignorance and failures. God has blessed us with Unlimited powers. Need is to unlock  these powers to manifest our dreams.

Those who say that scientists are playing God, I ask then to come out with their contributions and creation in this wonderful world created by God. Today we are facing multifarious problems owing to our beliefs and ignorance. The day is not far off when we will not only quarrel but go to any extent to harm our fellow being for a glass of water.

God help those who help themselves. God desires that His souls should make wonders to make the planet Earth a beautiful Heaven. But we poor and ignorant souls are determined to make it the Worst Hell. Now choice is of the World.

No, they are just inventing or researching on some forms which God has already created and mankind is not aware of them. It is just viewing in different ways.

God has created millions of different organisms ranging to single-celled ones to mega-ton dinosaurs and whales.

Man has taken the first step by creating bacteria.

Are we justified in comparing Man with God ?
