Why can't they employ more females in day time instead night shift which can be taken over by males. This would be convenient of course if girls and boys are equally talented.

We have already become NOCTURNAL and broken the EAST-WEST divide through our engagement with the international companies abroad, especially US and Europe. Especially Indian Girls are preferred in the call centres, BPOs and KPOs for they have very natural voice accent, clarity, and are considered to be fast learners of the nuances of leads generated through communication. Girls working in night shifts are highly vulnerable and should not be encouraged, but where will they go, if we discourage such shifts!

If all security arrangements are assured for the girls then why not..?? There is women empowerment in all over the world and they are also claiming that they are not lagging behind their male counterparts then why can't they work in night shifts? Somewhere I still feel that womens still need some sort of security and they are still not strong as males. They still depend on decisions of others. This is more worse in the situation of non-working females. Still womens have long way to go on this path. Obvious it will require extra care and security when it comes to women working in night shifts. That's why I personally feel that this should be encouraged along with taking extra measures for the security of them.

Do you really think in a country like INDIA( with all due respect), providing SECURITY to women is that easy??? I mean you hear of molestations every other day in the papers. It would take a generation for women to rise to the platform we are talking about. And the extra security measure??? Can the guy acting as a security guard a safe company to have??? I don't think so... The realization needs to come from within.. No laws or stringent measures can change the state of things and i'm sure you would agree to this as well.. Girls or Boys- Night shifts are bad! Health, protection, sanity, being one with the natural flow of day night (!), social behavior, work style, impact on daily life, impacton relationships, crime rate all of these and more are being affected. But all we are doing is working our a** out for western world :) No NIGHT SHIFTS! Enough said! Wasn't it once that only Dons and mafias were working at nights! :)
