If the Rich get Richer and the Poor becomes Poor, the middle class will often join the poor soon too. Because as the prices go high the poor don't afford anything, the middle class purchase less and less with their little money, while the rich experience just inconvenience

Yes!!! Megha, Ironically this is the truth.

Whatever the lower middle class or poor may have ever had is getting robbed by ever inflationary food prices. And another truth is farmer is not getting rich neither is a manufacturer.

It is the "middlemen" who neither have a product nor ever add any value to a product are getting the best deal in India. A lot of manufacturer have turned importers and traders, while farmers switched as realtors, thanks to this trend.

Race to accumulate more appears the sole reason for many in life.

The rich may or may not be getting richer , but I am sure that the number of poor people is growing by the day.

Considering me , my parents and my children , my parents saw to it that we , their children , were well educated. I have done reasonably well in life only due to this education , and I am seeing to it that my children will also be well educated.

This emphasis on education may be misplaced , but I am of the opinion that education gives you more opportunities ; with an education you can choose from a wider variety of careers. With an education , you can go out into the world on a more respectable footing.

Compared to the situation 50 years ago , the unemployment rate is higher , and more and more educated adults are fighting for jobs that do not demand any education. If this is not an increase of poverty , I do not know what other indicator we should use.
