Are VCs moving away from Technology investments ?

Yes I agree with you pranav, with an estimated ten-fold increase in the middle-class population and three-fold rise in household income where aggregate consumer spending in India is likely to be more than previous years. India is sure shot to become the largest consumer market in the world and that will definitely interest VCs to enter this markets.

I feel the reasons could be the rise of entrepreneurial activity in India in other sectors which is growing fast & domestic consumption-led sectors is where they would be targeting their investments.

I don't agree with you people, rather VCs will continue its focus on technology-powered businesses even if they expand into consumer services because factors like the rapid increase in mobile and Internet penetration in India are further paving the way for innovative technology products and services that to cater to the domestic market. In addition, Domain focused outsourcing and technology products continue to be focus sectors.
