no we dont ,why politicians and all, well we can surely support them by making right decisions which might avoid unnecessary casualties,we might help them by helping their kins(not by giving money and all) in possible manner,we could do better to them by avoiding the conflict as much possible with other nations by working out good tactical strategies for that, perhaps more work has to be done to get there even for the betterment of ourselves own

NO. None of us are doing what we should be doing. The irony is we as citizens don't really know what needs to be done OR do not have the resources to do. The Politicians - they DON'T WANT to realize that they have a lot more to do than campaign about the election manifestos.

No we are not even appreciating their work.. We spend lot of money on different issues but not for security and services of soldiers. We have best manpower of the world but our men don't have even good weapons. We are still lagging behind. This is only due to corruption. We have time and money to manage common wealth games,IPL,World Cup,however no time to improve our Army.

Surely our brave soldiers dont get what they deserve.A simple example some years before poor quality jackets were purchased for soldiers on duty in high altitudes fighting in snow. This deal was done by so called politicians just putting soldier's life at risk. There are more like this.Ater sacrifice life for nation familes of soldiers have to oil the politicians for well deserved claims.Very unfortunate.

No. Not at all! That's clearly evident from the fact that Scams like "Adarsh" and "Coffin Box" for Kargil victims were unfolded by the very politicians and the top personnel in the Army. My suggestion to get over this syndrome is all the politicians (at the centre and states) should guard the country at least one day in their five-year term in Borders (Indo-pakistan, Indo-Bangladesh, Indo-China borders) - let them carry whatever ammunitions and bullet-proof jackets to protect themselves. If they come alive, let them continue; if they are killed in ambush, they will be given Bharat Ratna awards posthumously! This should be the pre-condition for every politician to come to power. Let us see, how many of them wishes to come to public life!

I would like to thank you for inviting me, i agree that our nation, our politicians as well as we are not doing justice to our soldiers. Even our media is not interested, they are the people who can make the difference. Hope we all realize and try to do our best to our soldiers atleast a two minute silence to the sacrifice they make for us to live happily and safe.

The minimum the responsible citizen of a nation can do is take good care of soldiers when they are back home and take good care of their families while they are away.

We people are not supporting our safe keepers that's true, complete truth. We are not interested in how they work, what they do, how often they change their places, we never bother even to think that. Many of our citizens even don't know the number of headquarters of our defence wings, their locations , their specialities in operations, no-one cares. A soldier never expects from us to light a candle and sing for him but he will be really glad if we just chat with them about different locations of our defence and their headquarters, the equipments they use, the way they operate. He will feel that atleast people do think of our lives.

It is really shameful.. They get tax free things and treatment and job after leaving the force.. But what about the compensations they or their families do not get? I just want to say one thing, even after doing so much if they don't get what they deserve in return, it is shame on our nation..

In every country soldiers are supported so that free economy can flourish. India stands out as an exception in that the Govt has: 1. Refused to construct a memorial for those who have laid down their life in the call of duty. The Karnataka Govt has now offered land for such a memorial but the Central Govt is still silent on the issue. 2. Filing appeals in courts of law against paying the soldiers their dues. 3. Providing sub-standard equipment to the forces. We should make it mandatory that all politicians need to serve in Siachen Glacier, Counter Insurgency Operations, High Altitude areas for a minimum period of four years. Hopefully this will help them understand how to respect others especially those who fight for the freedom of other citizens.

soldiers are more concious about our country as compare to many of the politicians and common man. It is sad and been felt bad when we come across any wounded soldiers, who have sacrificed their life and there are lot of remote places where those who have given their time for the country are now on the streets begging and living a total lost life. Hope somewhere sympathy is given to look into them.

Our army is well maintained. Our civil society, politics and day to day life lives in a corrupt environment, but in war situation, the spirit changes and all supports army in mind and soul. Due to our strength in military, no body dare to fight directly although many engaged in destabilizing the country.

The armed forcEs are being look after very well. They get things without taxes, they get treatment in army hospitals even after retirement, they get employment after coming out of armed forces. What more do you expect the government to do. It is not the case with other services.
