Yes ! The very fact that a dongi baba was mallowed to protest and turn it into a career changing move. You dont need any more proof than this about democracy having survived.

Baba Ramdev's hunger stike ended last night by police attack on female, childerns and on sinior citizens. A similar attack done by British Government in Jaliyawala baug. Each and every politicians have their own accont at tax heaven and at any cost they want to suprress the Satyagrah against black money. are we living in the real democracy? is this government run by the people, for people and through people? It is look likes " Jiski Lathi Uski Bhes". Congress rules us for more than 50 years, BJP Ruled us more than 10 years. are we ruling this political party or we are ruleb by them? is ther any diffrence between British Government and Indian Government?

Who said so? May be some one who does not know the meaning of the term might have said so. In India we have poor poorer and poorest people's commercial democracy. here one can by votes. One can fool voters because Indian voters can be fooled very easily by tempting promises and temptations. The voter here have no thinking power. Even if one has it is commercialised. Voting is based on caste colour, greed and more than all on money. Each vote in India earns money . It is on contract. It is purely for consideration of currency notes of Reserve bank not fake notes. Are there no educated and enlightened persons in India except these purchasable commodity of voters? Yes the majority of the voters on the Electoral roll are educated and better enlightened than any other voter on the globe. But how come this unethical and illegal practice in the voting system? Because the so called educated or white colored gentlemen are the most laziest voters as fora s the voting is concerned. They never go polling booths. Still after the result they are the first to comment on the voting pattern. Is this not an unfortunate thing for the country! So we can call all these non-voters as un-patriots sons of the mother India. Mother India is cursed to have begotten these rotten and unfaithful children. She has to blame herself. No Mahatma or Ramdev or Hazare can help the situation unless one realises his duty towards the nation to which one belongs It is better for the so called educated fools and rogues instead of commenting on the election result go to polling station on election date and vote to a candidate of their choice. No matter their choice may not be good. You voters (educated voters so called) exercise your franchise don't stay at home or go on tour on polling day please go and vote to any Tom, Dick and Harry because now a days only Tom, Dick and Harry are contesting the election not decent people because decency has no place in Politics.

Real? Is there any pretension of democracy? Congress party launching scathing personal attacks on those who are trying to force the government to bring back black money for the benefit of common man. The PM proving that he is nothing but a puppet - interested in being the symbolic PM at any cost. Sonia and Rahul determined to maintain their dynastic rule on India. And all their coterie launching no-holds barred attempts to force the crusaders to retreat. God save my country and damn the rulers.

There can be agreement or disagreement but As Anna has said"the ministers are to serve and not to lathicharge on the public who are protesting against national issues in a non-violent way", If this is democracy then we should again go back to the script which was written on 26 Jan 1950. All the citizen of India has the right to protest and why the PM silent till now? where is he? Do he have any responisibility NO and thats the scenario of India.

No. This is fascism. The word fascism is derived from the Latin "fasces", a bundle of rods round an axe which was carried before a magistrate in Ancient Rome, denoting authority, power and discipline. The term "fascio" was the Italian form of the word meaning a group or squad. What we saw was a replica of what Mussolini's regime advocated Fascism in Italy. Benito Mussolini was the son of a worker-intellectual, a blacksmith -- who named his son after the 19th century Mexican revolutionary, Benito Juarez. Benito Mussolini was a bright boy and a voracious reader in his youth. He suffered from poverty as a young man and hated the rich. More accurately, he envied the rich. But he sought recognition more than personal wealth. He was for a time a school teacher, and he rose to become editor of a Socialist Party newspaper. Mussolini advanced himself by publishing his Diary of the War. His view of international events was Darwinistic, the masthead of his paper glorifying armed struggle and reading: "He who has steel has bread." By now he had forgotten about the liberty that might be lost with France's defeat. He attacked all those, including the Socialist Party, who called for peace. The war had not been going as well as for Italy as Mussolini had hoped, and the nation was suffering economically. People were casting about for targets of blame, and in February 1918, Mussolini joined those who spoke with disgust about parliamentary squabbling. Mussolini described parliamentary democracy as "effete." Italy, he claimed, should set things right by making a clean sweep. Italy, he said, needed a dictator. And in advocating soldierly patriotism and Italian nationalism, he attacked what he called the "sickly internationalism" of Lenin and Wilson.
