NO India is not a sleeping tiger BUT It is Pretending to be sleepy... we can wake up the sleeping person easily but it is impossible to wake a person who pretends to be sleepy....the politicians are responsible for this and we are responsible for choosing them deliberately... all woes are because of us and for us as we deserve it as individual and as a nation

that tiger ya people are talking about has been genetically transformed to a cat that can meow only sometime... while talking about government... they are not taking any supportive plan to curb these kind of corruption...go any where in india... Nobody is doing their general work. Ya ask to lodge a complaint, they ll ask for money first.. taking a loan means ya have to feed the managers and other people 50% of your loan.. can ya people change those corrupted mind??? No one can go against the system...so i am saying That tiger is gone long ago... Now a days it feels like the days of East India Company has come back.. But this time they are the Indian themselves who are playing the role of the East India Company....

It's an acquired disease. We have been afflicted by it since centuries and we are not going to get rid of it anytime soon. In a way most of us are comfortable with the system as all that we are aware and keen about preserving are our immediate identity. We have failed as social beings. We worship the self and are thrilled by the very thought of greatness and relish it by day-dreaming. The concept like India Shining, our sham sense of patriotism etc all have their origin here.

At least you have dared to think that we are tigers. Even if a tiger is made of paper and lifeless, it earns the credential of giving pleasure to the kids. But, we at present, in my opinion, are cowardly hypocrites who are impotent too, as far as our stand as professional hypocrites is concerned. So, we are neither capable of offering pleasure, nor are we interested in joining hands to form an integrated team of timid rascals.

Unless and until every indian takes a bold stand to uphold moral integrity in their personal and professional life and mainly in dealing with corrupt practices, in the right manner in public and government interactions, the tiger is never going to wake up.

From the keywords what I understand is that, blaming others (finding fault in others) is ingrained in us. We forget that when you point a finger on others there are three fingers point you.Remember this. Fault is also equally on us.

Dont think India as a nation has ever slept during the postindependence period. All we need is to tame some cats who would take care of such mice. Yes people do have that Chalta hai.... attitude but I suppose, its the individual attitude to be blamed and not any particular system.

there can not be yes or no kind of answer in this question... because some of the sectors have taken advantage of govt.policies of opening economy viz. software sector Infy, Wipro, are doing well Infy is the first to get listed on NASDAQ. Also in auto sector TATA group has come up as a TIGER ROAR with Jaguar. Tata Steel with CORUS and so on. And yes for the people on the other side saying "YES" this is true that majority of the sectors are not taking as much advantage of the new policies. But as a whole "India is Shining" or rather "India is Roaring Once again.."..What say folks...?

No Shilpa India is no more a sleeping Tiger, it has waken up and walking towards progress. Chalta hai attitude is slowly dieing down. Thanks to Media & Judiciary ,see how people are questioning politicians on their bad & corrupt governance at central and state govt. Hereafter politicians are scared to take people for granted. Don't be so pessimistic and loose yr hope Shilpa. Yes due to sudden economic spurt few people with some corrupt politicians support is trying to play havoc. But realized the peoples' anger. This is the beginning Shilpa you wait and see. once the dust is settled. No one can fool all the people all the Time.
