A short trip and a small break are things one should have time to time to be fresh and innovative. But young Indians have a tendency of being workoholics "as a means to achieve faster career growth". But hard work is the key to success, its smart work and a little bit of me-time. Somehow all do not manage to take all their leaves and keep on working hard . Are you too one of them?

Yes I am. I fail to get a leave sactioned for some or the other reasons and feel so do people around me. I have recently read that Indians are 4th most vacation deprived professionals.

Sorry Kriti Das,

I can not say anything in this. Because, I do plan my trip & vacation as possibly adjustable to the Employer. But, I , invariably go  for family trips.

It’s very important to be "Stress Free" because our mental condition is an important factor as for as our working & personal life is concern. I am also looking for a vacation whether long or short, but can’t get it due to the tight schedule of my work place.

i think in EU they have one month paid leave for their employee because they think the professional should also spend some wonderful time with their family to rejuvenate himself.

Though I normally do not get opportunity to enjoy holdays, I do believe that a break (even if t is for short period) for some time will certainly boost up person's morale and enthusiasm in work.

I have not faced such situation since the companies I have worked where I have 22 days earned leave facilities are there. This leave facilities can be utilized for any journey or trip to any places along with family members, further the 22 days earned leave can be surrendered for en-cashing.Apart from this leave, all the employees have other leave periods such as casual, sick leave etc.,Therefore it can not be said as vocation deprived working professionals. These leave facilities are available in almost all limited companies.Whether availing these leave facilities depends upon the individuals discretion to have relaxation individually or with family members. Thanks for the referral Mr.Kirti Das.
