it may not fetch me right capital for having quality intellectual capital but i don't like money coming easily as it comes with even more higher price...better to do what gives mental peace.

I too agree with Mr. Natteraja. However, I would like to project in the other way. If one has set focus and strives to achieve it with high commitment level, yes...it is possible in practical life too. "Don’t give up, until you reach your satisfaction level".

No two fingers are alike! Karma theory applies here! Civil servants in pre-Independent era were very proud to serve the British India, dressed like Britishers and pursued what they believed in and were enjoying what they were doing, but lost their sheen when the country became independent. May be what I believe today may not be relevant tomorrow! We studied Peter Drucker, Frederick Tailor and Heizenberg, etc. whose dictum and findings were not fully relevant to Indian economy when we had the controlled economy, before India opening up to the world economy. We were living in a controlled regime with too much of restriction. Therefore, Ambanis, and the likes were not relevant in the controlled regime. Pursuing one's belief was relevant only when the situation was conducive enough to pursue, otherwise, they remain as daydreaming!

If u want to be Happy in yr life then always do what u believe in. I have seen many people who had compromised with their thought and then putted down in big trouble themselves in life. Yes, Some times definitely we are faces some situation that in which we have to make some compromise with our life because in that type of situation we have no rights to choose any other option..... And today life is so practical, so we makes settings for what we are doing. but this type of situation will not come in day to day life , it will come very rarely in our life. So its my opinion that if possible then always do what u believe because it will build a confidence in you and will get u very high high and higher..... Thanks,

not everyone gives shape to their dreams. dreams are something hard to get. initially everyone gives a try, but because of circumstances and situations only few last, rest give up.arguably doing something what you believe is very hard in this world but if you have the belief and courage you can take risk. am doing what i believe in, though it risks my whole life..

Yes, doing what I really believe. In deed this question has come across my mind all the time while performing on any task, however I see things in a little different way. I believed in responsibilities provided or given to me which my immediate superior believed in. This always give me a chance to prove my capabilities and skills. Many a times people dream and plan for some specific things and try to work for the same. I also do the same however I do not restrict myself to something specific. Every lesson in a corporate helps every individual to develop a unique skill which benefits in a longer duration. Hence believing in what one is doing always help, incase one feels that he/she is not assigned with the right task then the same should be discussed with the superior to have a brief and clear view.

Well It is always beneficial to do something you believe then setting for what you are doing. however risk is there but if you will see deep risk is everywhere. so take the risk atleast for benefit.

Beliefs are many fold.Even the one ray has multiple dimension. One has to settle down in this bus , it is controlled by destiny. If sone one think it is the path which he choosed and feel satisfide it is nice but it is destiny for which he settle down. It is applicable every where either career, marriage, life. One has only right to do the jobs.Rest is not our control. Alind Saxena

Brilliant debate. Provides a respite from all the political and general debates on this site. Unfortunately for me, i am forced to settle for what i am doing because i beleive if things dont go your way it is better to resign yourself to the task on hand. There is no point in fighting agains destiny and do better. This way at least you retain your peace of mind.

Forget average people even people with good amount of money and facilities cannot do what they like in each and every circumstances. They also have to compromise at some extent so it’s totally fraud who claims to do everything of its liking. And there is nothing wrong in accepting that I live as per situation or I gets adjusted to life, because that’s only life where you gets some things in your favour and some against your favour.thats life if u r not doing that then u r not living life.

We should always strive to do what we believe in and hope that pathways will open up as we continue to strive to do what we believe in.... The Universe is big enough to enable everyone to do what he chooses to do within the given constraints. However, due to inherent environmental limitations, most people are not able to take sufficient risk to do what they believe or want to do... However, the trend is changing and many people are now opting for off-beat paths based on their belief and hope in the future. Thanks for the referral, Natteraja....

I am doing what I believe in yet, it is almost akin to swimming against the current in a country as corrupt as ours. And am forever scared of suggesting it to youngsters although even this is not easy to chose between treading ethical path or succeeding somehow.

For me, It is too late in life to indulge in trying to TAKE this question, leave alone to ANSWER. Life WAS/IS never straight or simple. It's always kaleidoscopic. It always slips the moment you try to have a glance. Dreams too have always been puzzling LUXURY, some times even agnostic when I tried to catch them. Whatever that was/is happening is in itself a dream to me. I believed in enjoying whatever I am/was blessed with. It is because DEAD YESTERDAY! UNBORN TOMORROW!! WHY DO YOU FRET AND FUME WHEEN TODAY IS SWEET!!!

It is a very rare case, where we can catch our childhood dreams. We proceed to our destiny with the expectation of our parents or family seniors wish.
