Yes, Mr. Mukherjee had taken care for overall sectors more particularly difficulties of Middle Class- salaried and Common men. As far as Upper layer or creamy layer of the society is concerned- they are already enjoying benefits of " unaccounted Money" and ease circulation. Poor class is getting various aids from charitable Org. only left is Middle class and salaried Class- this time they got good reliefs and compulsory saving of ar least rs.20,000/- a year. Hence, Fuel charges has nothing to do with the inflation. Good Budget. At least we shall not have sudden small budgets through out the year. The firm decision of Mr. Mukherjee shall help us to build strong economy.-by Vijay M.

we always criticize the govt. but govt also has some restrictions because providing subsidies also causes loss to the government , also in order to reduce the expenditure on fuel each individual should control the consumption, make use of public transport as far as possible

'A Coin gains more value as it changes ownership' 1>This budget is a budget for middle class consumers, note perfectly 'Consumers'. How money will get more value? when it will be in use. When it will be in use? When we will have it excess to use What will happen when we will use money more? the effective value of currency will go up What will happen if the effective value will go up? Betterment of local currency value will enhance profit at national level and changing ownership of a single coin will enable the poor to access their privileges. This Budget tells about economic rise and encourage consumers to consume more. The other taxation on consumable goods and services will enable Govt. to extract the EBITDA needed. Hence all the purpose will be served. middle class is happy with enhanced rebate in IT Upper class and lower class will be happy as they will be benefited from this market economy, though terms are diff. 2>2nd thing is hike in fuel cost.. do u guyz believe 1Rs/Lt cost will bring disaster?? suppose a poor farmer want to transport some vegetables using a motor vehicle. How much he need to spend more? for a lt 1 rs, which is affordable. Same for tobacco related stuffs... 3>The best thing of the budget is Country made electronic goods [mobile etc] will have less price from now on. This will enhance the manufacturing industry turnover and hence adding GDP through new ventures. Being one Telecom professional, I can see this budget as a firm state towards economic stability, and a good attempt to encourage product / manufacturing/ retail industry. For last 2 decades, India became a hub to offer only services. Hence we were easily affected by global economic slowdown. Until and unless we improve other sectors, we cannot be able to fight with another economic crisis.

Budget is in very right direction. We common man want subsidies on one hand and talk about how we can become superpower on other hand. These two things are contradictory, if we want our country to grow, then we need to stop the habit of crying. We need better transport system, better healthcare and better education systems for our kids…. we have endless wishes to be made true by government, but from where the money will come from. It’s we, who has to contribute for the above facilities. JUST THINK OVER IT

We should be glad that our govt has stopped singing the populist tune and aimed for overall growth of economy. Emphasis on infrastructure pumping, fillip to manufacturing and withdrawal of subsidies are steps in the right direction. Personal Income taxation also should not be a matter of concern to any class, as everyone benefits.

We should not be worried of short term plans. What I have observed with Prime minister Manmohan singh's Government budgets are giving importance for the infrastructure development on long term plans and immediate relief on short term plans. the importance of education, support on researches in public and private sectors are major visions of the future of the country and developments. economic stability has to be maintained for the strength of the country. Hence fund have to be raised. This is one of the good budgets of the government keeping an eye on the Bengal and Kerala elections.

Budget on the whole is sweet. Unfortunately most of the opponents are of diabetic in nature, that is why they are worried about the immediate consequences. That is the reason it is slightly worrisome. Hope is the word to be attached and watched with the growing expectancy

ONE MAN CANNOT FULFILL THE DEMAND OF 125 CRORE PEOPLE. FINANCE MINISTER HAS DONE HIS BEST. People must think that he had done his best possible way, there are many things which is for benefit for one and harmful or not beneficial to others like extra exemption of Rs.20000 on long term infrastructure bonds, cheaper electronics and medical equipments, etc. I think positive side of budget is more heavy then its negative sides.

I think in this budget, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee concentrated on all inclusive growth of India Inc. This Budget is not only for common man but also for all category of people. It is balanced and focused on maintaining growth and reducing fiscal deficit which has been increasing because of Stimulus Package injected by the Government in last couple of months. As last time when Mr. Mukherjee presented the Budget in july 2009 he concentrated more on Agricultural reforms which were directly related to farmers but this time he has not only focused on continuation of those reforms as well as providing certain benefits to common man in terms of Tax Exemption by increasing the Tax Slab and increasing the limit of saving under 80cc. There are certain divestement plan governement is looking for in near future as well. This Budget is not made keeping short term growth in mind rather long term inclusive growth by bringing India back to the golden days of double digit growth.

Does not matter if a single person is happy with the Budget'10 or not. Question is : may the common man be happy ? When we study the Budget in depth, we see that interests of common man has been harmed more than has benefited them :- Common man benefited : Increase in Incometax ceilings and decrease of rate ( most of the population is not salary earners though ). Extension of repayment of Farm Loans, Indirect benefits : Some more allocations for social sectors, Service Tax on Transportation waived, reduction of Market Borrowings by Govt., attempts for Financial consolidation, increased allocation for Social Sectors, incentives for inhouse R & D Common man harmed : Rise of Diesel, Petrol and Coal prises. May have wide ranging effect on prices of all commodities and electric bills. Further, increase of Excise on all other items may bring further inflation. Look ... deliberately these items were chosen to tax the common man, all and sundry, through out the entire country, the have-nots and lower middle class who are to pay every time and every day, to gurner money for Govt. exchequer. Even they have no 'forums' to protest, no interest lobby to speak for them. Its completely unfair as these section of people are the end users of lots of items sold in our country. Thus these may "harm" the industry and service providers too. --- Gold import excise duty - may increase prices of jewellery. --- Service Tax on restaurants and on tutorial homes, in house properties transactions.

I think they feared of forthcoming election, so they are in hurry to imply forthcoming prices too. Thats how a futureustic foresighted govt should works. by implementing future prices in present. I think, they are few step ( not one) ahead at least in this matter.

It has been only said before, But now, They proved that "they are Elitist" in this years budget. This so called economist PM destroyed all the hopes of common people to get relief from price hike. In this budget, in accordance with the international market, its clearly shown that petroleum price hike is only in good will of benefits of some petroleum co.'s.

Dear Nakul, Criticism does not and is never meant to be in the word to convey ENTIRETY. The appropriate word meant when to mean in entirety is, Condemnation, which is certainly not the case here since we are discussing. Now, let's question "What are limitations in curbing Government's wasteful expenses? or would you say there are NONE.

Dear Abhishek, And we all thought a coin would loose weight by circulation. So the budget is for middle class at the cost of poor. Right and the Poor Man lacks voice so he should not be heard. Would you say "The Poor anyway does not have the need or right to travel. Thus Only the third point mentioned may find appreciation from majority that going by statistics that it is more than 85percent that is missing benefits. What requires to take due note of is: Has the government shown any inclination to check corrupt practices by creating some planned mechanism or machinery? or has the Government shown an incline to reduce their own expenses before going ahead to sermonize the citizens that "Cost of progress have to be paid." Now let us ask and analyse if this progress is for the country or SELF, through another raise in salaries and perks.

To a certain extent the budget can be said to be a pleasing one, but on a larger scale the price hike in fuel and other basic items will penalise the common man...Government should give emphasis on the common man's situation and frame the budget accordingly!!!1

A lot of dynamic changes were expected like uniform tax code and abolition of GST but nothing came out. Just a dressing up and increasing the petrol price and excise duties on some products adding to inflation and misery of common man.

This budget is not for common man in India. Hike in price of petroleum products and construction goods like cement etc are directly increase the cost of all the consumer goods. The price increase a commodity at same chance for excess import of same material, this will affect rupee rate.

Whatever the honble finance minister may have achieved with the budget was undone by the fuel price hike. He declared that he has not put new taxes on fuel. He has only removed an incentive that was given during bad times. That does not helop the common man who has to fill his tank and make it last. An increased flow of funds out of your purse is an increased expenditure no matter what the reason. It is a sensible budget. but the price hike is not good. it will only add to the 17% inflation.

Finance Bill 2010 is contradictory to national Housing policy in as much as it sought to impose Service tax @10.20% on Construction of Residential complex. This will make Houses dearer. The benefit extended u/s 80IB is more than confiscated by imposing service tax. Housing is already burdened with VAT, Development charges, stamp duty, registration charges. House property are sold through registered sale deed and Builders don't issue Invoice to buyers of newly constructed property on first sale. Babumosai created a fiction of inserting service tax in a transaction which is predominantly sale. Recently, Fiscal mishandling of Real Estate Market in Greece has resulted in economic catastrophe. Make Houses cheap and when you give with one hand don't take back with other hand.

we cannot assess the whole budget through the income tax rate of Individual. The FM make a good step in the individual class by extending slab levels 5 lakhs and 8 lakhs. But FM not increased the deduction eligibility under section 80 to Insurance, this will affect the insurance based business. In the case of price increase in petrol, cement etc will leads to price increase in all the commodities and it will affect whole persons in India. The price increase of automobile, cigar etc will leads to excess import same goods, this will leads the excess payment

Tax rate increases and decreases and their are a hell lot of options of saving it.Hard to predict how will this affect the common man .What made me sad was a mere 300cr allocation for the agriculture impetus !!! every year we face scanty rainfall, harvest isn't as expected ,this somehow later adds up to the price . These days we talk about endangered species like ( Tiger , rinocherous etc..) imagine a day when we get to hear when some fruits become so scare (in terms of their output , planting , time to market etc..) that the govt declares then endangered !!!Serious mesuares need to be taken in the agrcultural industry. Also water havesting projects on a massive scale and renewable energy usage is something needed at this point of time .ALl in al this budget fine but gave peanuts where water melons were required !!

If you look in totality, I dont think the budget is "pro poor". Many sops for rich and richer and major strata of society is left high and dry. Signal to licence new banks is not to be welcomed. We have good number of banks (including Nationalised Banks) who are competitive enough both in terms of service and technology. Addition of new banks may increase unholy competition amongst banks, which may become futile for the industry.

absolutely i am disagree with this budget.just increase the exempltion limit should not the only goal of govt. what a common people will gain from this budget?it is just showing achievement but it will not lead to the solution of the aam aadmi's problem.further rise in price increases the problem of a person.the government is not focusing on the main issues like price rises.so i am not supporting it.
