No automation will not work for small companies. Mass production is better, because automation needs lot of investment and investment will be more compare to the profit. So better not to go for it

no doubt that automation is a necessary factor for more accuracy n high end achievements in present throat-cut competition because today every1 wants to become a legend in his field but the main thing is how to achieve it, in my views for this reason increase in investment does not mean so much bt accuracy n mass prodoction do...........

I agree with Isha Verma.. The investment will be higher than that of the Profit, since these automations are much more costlier, that we cannot able to run without the help of the Govt.

Full automation will not be suitable for small company, but semi automation can be suitable for small companies to do mass production in a high degree of quality needed.

I dont think the automation is costly then man power , it is costly only becaus the many of the automation hardware is purchased from a foreign companies like PLC and SCADA from siemens, Mitsubishi etc.. but if those are manufactured from india and by indian companies then it can affect the cost of overall automation.

quality has no direct correlation with mass production, mass producers can produce bad quality and are doing in hordes. Mass producing or not is an economic decision, if done right mass production can result in better quality. better quality will partly because of ease of standardization in operations.

"In India Automation is far far away in small industries leading to heavy power consumption and overall very less efficiency output with high product cost. But getting automatic machines and advance Instrumentation and control in the small manufacturing and process industries can change the future of Indian industries."

I THINK FOR BETTER QUALITY THEY MUST GO FOR AUTOMATION IF A HIGHER DEGREE OF QUALITY IS NEEDED. IT IS A ONE TIME INVESTMENT DEPENDS UPON YOUR CARE OF THAT PRODUCT U HAS.IF A HIGHER DEGREE OF QUALITY IS PRODUCED THEN IT IS THE PROFIT OF THAT COMPANY WHICH THEY CANNOT GET BY MASS PRODUCTION.

It will useful in above medium scale industries by reducing  the manpower and production wastage but as per Indian condition economically its not suitable  for small scale industries .other then that its better
