Mr. Ahmed is totally right, both are very vital and the debate needs fine tuning?!

The question is (WHICH IS IMPORTANT AND HOW?) while the two options available are (yes) and (no).

After adding
(pls. give appropriate reason that why banking is Important and Why Non-Banking Financial Institution is important and if both are not then why....) by the poster, the comparison became unbalanced and the debate became illogical.

Anyway, BOTH banking financial institutions and non-banking financial institutions are important to the financial system.

I feel that both have their own set of advantages. While you do not need to go through various formalities to get a loan from a non-banking financial institution but in case of banks..there is a certain procedure which is needed to follow to get the loan. But banks have a certain credibility associated with them with respect to the interest rates that they will be charging from the customers which is not the case with non-banking financial institutions as there are higher interest rates if one decides to borrow money from them.

It seems that the debate needs more clarification.
The question is (WHICH IS IMPORTANT AND HOW?) while the two options available are (yes) and (no).
Does (yes) mean (important)? Similarly, does (no) mean (unimportant)?

Anyway, both banking financial institutions and non-banking financial institutions are important to the financial system.
