hi Himanshu,thanks for referral.certainly Ads are nothing to do with the game.what is expected by them is commitment and true spirit and loyalty.i don't know why BCCI should come into picture regarding Ads.Becoming models is left to the players and BCCI should act only for sport related issues.

Yes, BCCI should not allow a cricket player to do the advertisement for first 5 years of his selection. He should be asked to play for the country for first five years and if he remains in team after 5 years on the basis of his performance he can be allowed. By this way I am sure that a player will take keen interest in playing not in money making. He will try to give his best during the five years which is required for the success/win of a team.It is seen that during very first year they are involved in the add and making money more and more which makes them least bothered about the playing their game.

Can any talented youngster be guaranteed by the BCCI of stardom 5 years after his debut. Let the poor man earn his butter when he worth it. He has worked hard for it. Does any of us today remember Kapil Dev or a Chandrashekar. I request my friends to take a small self - test. Name the playing XI of 1983 world Cup (Prudential Cup). I will not be surprised if only 5 of my friends on Toostep can pass this test. Hard reality. Stardom is just a passing phase as public memory is pretty short.

Cricket should be allowed to do ads on ONE CONDITION that 70% of their ad revenue has to be given for the promotion of other sports in India such as hockey, football etc. This will channelize the efforts for the betterment of the nation.

ADS ARE A BETTER  SOURCE OF REVENUE FOR THE PLAYERS. THEY CAN BANK UPON THEM ONLY AS LONG AS THEY ARE  IN THE LIMELIGHT.SELECTION POLICIES OF BCCI  HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MYSTERIOUS AND BARRING SACHIN NO ONE HAS BEEN IN THE TEAM FOR A LONG TIME.ADS WERE NEVER A DIVERSION.BUT IN FACT MOTIVATE THE PLAYERS TO PLAY WELL TO RETAIN THEIR POSITION IN THE TEAM SO THAT THEY CAN GET THAT EXTRA PIE FROM ADS.

Ad has nothing to do with cricket. Both are different and no one does ads by cancelling the match. They do it in their free time. And that is their own interest and BCCI can't put any restriction to it. 

If a player is regular for practice and performing good in matches he can do whatever he wants. We should improve our way of coaching and practicing and not putting any restriction for them....
